Where to Stream Surely Tomorrow Internationally

For viewers outside South Korea, Surely Tomorrow is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. The series is streaming globally on the platform in over 240 countries and territories.

New episodes are expected to be available on Prime Video shortly after they finish airing on JTBC in Korea. This allows international fans to follow the story at almost the same time as Korean audiences. Viewers will need an active Amazon Prime subscription to watch.

The Story and Cast of the New Drama

Surely Tomorrow tells the story of Lee Gyeong-do (Park Seo-joon) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an), who were each other’s first love in their youth. Their relationship did not last, and they broke up, only to get back together and separate again years later.

Their story takes another turn when they meet for a third time, now in their late thirties. Lee Gyeong-do works as an entertainment reporter and is assigned to cover a high-profile affair scandal. To his shock, he discovers that the wife of the man at the center of the scandal is his ex-girlfriend, Seo Ji-woo. This puts the former lovers in a very difficult and complicated situation.

Director Im Hyun-wook described the lead characters by saying, “Lee Gyeong Do is like a deeply rooted tree that stands firm through any storm, while Seo Ji Woo is a candle flickering in the windโ€”fragile, yet radiant in her own way.”

The series is directed by Im Hyun-wook, who also worked on the popular drama King the Land. The screenwriter is Yoo Young-ah, known for shows like Encounter and Thirty-Nine.

In addition to the two leads, the supporting cast includes Lee El, Lee Joo-young, Jeong Ha-jin, and Kim Mi-kyung.

What to Expect from the Drama’s Style

The drama explores how love and people change over nearly two decades. The story is told across three different time periods in the characters’ lives, focusing on their emotional states rather than presenting events in simple chronological order.

Director Im Hyun-wook explained the approach, stating, “What matters isn’t when something happened. It’s where these two are at emotionally in any given moment.”

At a recent press event, Park Seo-joon shared that he sees the show as more of a melodrama than a simple romance, noting that its conflicts feel very real and relatable. His co-star, Won Ji-an, teased that the story’s ending is unpredictable, leaving viewers to wonder if the couple will find happiness this time.
