The next chapter of the intense college drama is almost here. Tell Me Lies Season 3 Episode 5 arrives this week, bringing more secrets and fallout to the tangled lives of the Baird College group. The episode, titled “I’d Like to Hold Her Head Under Water,” focuses on a spreading rumor about Lucy and a deep dive into Bree’s past.

Fans have followed the messy relationship between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) for years, jumping between their college days in 2008 and the consequences in 2015. The new season finds them trying again during the spring semester, but old habits and hidden truths threaten to destroy their fresh start and everyone around them.

When and Where to Watch Episode 5

Episode 5 will be available to stream on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. For viewers in the United States, the episode will drop on Hulu at 12:00 AM Pacific Time / 3:00 AM Eastern Time.

For international audiences, the series is available worldwide on Disney+. The release follows a weekly schedule, with new episodes arriving every Tuesday. Season 3 will have eight episodes in total, meaning there will be three more episodes after this one.

What Happens in Episode 5: “I’d Like to Hold Her Head Under Water”

The official description from Hulu sets the scene for the new episode. The story will center on a social event where whispers about Lucy begin to circulate.

โ€œGossip spirals around Lucy at a pool party. Bree seeks answers from her childhood.โ€

This pool party gossip likely connects to the ongoing tension from Episode 4, which ended with a major revelation concerning Bree’s mystery caller that left the whole group reeling. Meanwhile, the episode will also follow Bree as she looks back into her personal history, potentially exploring her childhood and her connection to her foster brother, Alex, who is a new character this season.

This season introduces new characters to the Baird College circle. Iris Apatow joins the cast as Amanda, a college freshman with her own secrets. Costa Dโ€™Angelo plays Alex, a psychology student and Bree’s foster brother from childhood.
