The grown-up adventures of Charles Dickensโ€™ famous young pickpocket are set to continue. A release date for the second season of the popular Australian comedy-adventure series The Artful Dodger has been confirmed. All episodes of the new season will be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu on February 10, 2026.

The show, inspired by characters from Oliver Twist, follows Dr. Jack Dawkins in 1850s Australia. He is trying to live a new, respectable life as a surgeon while his past as the Artful Dodger constantly tries to pull him back into a world of crime and heists. The first season debuted in late 2023, and the announcement of the new season in February 2026 comes just over two years later.

Along with the premiere date, Disney has shared first-look images from the upcoming season and detailed the new characters and high-stakes plot that will challenge Jack and his friends.

What To Expect In The New Season

The official description for the second season sets the stage for more trouble, romance, and daring escapades. Jack Dawkins is back, and he is in deep trouble. He has an appointment with the hangmanโ€™s noose and is being hunted by Inspector Henry Boxer, Port Victoryโ€™s new and determined lawman. Making his situation even more dangerous, Jack knows that if he is seen with the woman he loves, Lady Belle Fox, it will lead directly to his execution.

Meanwhile, Lady Belle is focused on her own difficult path. She is determined to forge a future as a doctor, stepping into danger and defying the expectations of her society. Her ambition and her complicated feelings for Jack are both powerful driving forces in her life.

The crafty Fagin returns to drag Dodger into what is promised to be their most dangerous heist yet. To add to the chaos, a killer is on the loose in Port Victory. The new season will introduce new locations and characters, promising more thrills and humor.

Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand, shared her excitement for the showโ€™s return. She stated that the fan-favorite Aussie original is back with more romance, adventure, and sharp wit.

โ€œWeโ€™re immensely proud to be bringing quality Australian storytelling to the world stage and to have further elevated the production with intricate new costuming and sets that take audiences even deeper into the adrenaline-pumping world of The Artful Dodger,โ€ Watson-Wheeler said.
