FX and Ryan Murphy are bringing a dark new vision to television. The Beauty is an upcoming science fiction horror series that turns society’s obsession with looks into a global epidemic. The show is set to premiere in early 2026 with a major cast including Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, and supermodel Bella Hadid.
What Is The Beauty About?
The series is based on a comic book by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. The story begins when famous fashion models start dying in shocking ways. FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are sent to Paris to find out why.
Their investigation leads to a shocking discovery: a new, sexually transmitted virus. This virus, called “The Beauty,” transforms infected people into visions of physical perfection. But this change has a deadly cost. The agents’ search for answers brings them into conflict with a secretive tech billionaire known only as “The Corporation,” played by Ashton Kutcher. To protect his business, he uses a dangerous enforcer called “The Assassin,” played by Anthony Ramos.
Ryan Murphy has described the show as “a sci-fi medical show about a new virusโฆ that turns you into your absolute perfect self.” He says it asks, “how far would you go to be beautiful?” and calls it his take on current “Ozempic culture”.
The story is a global thriller that moves from Paris to Venice, Rome, and New York. It follows the epidemic’s spread and its impact on people like Jeremy, played by Jeremy Pope, an outsider searching for meaning in the chaos.
