Ju Haknyeon’s agency terminated his contract after reports surfaced of him meeting former Japanese AV actress Kirara Asuka. Now, a YouTuber claims Haknyeon confessed to THE BOYZ members about sleeping with her.

Former THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon is at the center of a growing scandal after YouTuber Lee Jin Ho alleged that Haknyeon admitted to sleeping with former Japanese adult film actress Kirara Asuka. The controversy began when Haknyeon was seen with Asuka in Tokyo, leading to his abrupt removal from THE BOYZ and termination of his contract with ONE HUNDRED Label.

Lee Jin Ho, known for covering K-pop scandals, posted a video detailing new claims about Haknyeon’s actions. According to Lee, Haknyeon allegedly told THE BOYZ members about his one-night stand with Asuka, which shocked the group. The agency reportedly took immediate action after confirming the details.

“Even his agency and the people involved had no idea about Ju Haknyeon’s situation. I first found out when the Japanese Bunshun sent me a Q&A about his private life. The Q&A included questions about their physical touch and questions suggesting he had gone to her house. It was so serious that even the media outlet asked if they were dating.”

Lee further claimed that Haknyeon protested his removal from THE BOYZ after the agency discovered his involvement with Asuka. According to Lee, Haknyeon and Asuka were seen drinking together in a private room in Tokyo, where they engaged in physical contact before spending the night together.

“During the process of investigating the situation, the agency found out that Ju Haknyeon had told his acquaintances that he had ‘sex with Asuka Kirara’. In response, the agency separated him from the members and immediately withdrew him from the team. However, Ju Haknyeon protested from leaving the group.”

The scandal first broke when Japanese magazine Shukan Bunshun reported Haknyeon’s meeting with Asuka. Witnesses claimed they were seen drinking and being physically close at a bar in Tokyo’s Roppongi district. Photos showed Asuka resting her head on Haknyeon’s shoulder, fueling rumors.

Haknyeon initially denied any illegal activity, including soliciting pr*stitution, in a handwritten apology. However, his agency, ONE HUNDRED Label, stated they could no longer trust him as an artist and removed him from THE BOYZ.

“As soon as we were informed of issues involving Ju Haknyeon’s private life, our company immediately suspended his activities and took time to thoroughly verify the facts. We have come to recognize the seriousness of this issue and have clearly determined that it is no longer possible for us to maintain the trust in him as an artist.”

Netizens have been divided over the scandal. Some fans support Haknyeon, questioning the agency’s harsh response, while others criticize his behavior.

“If he only went to the gathering, then things are totally different, regardless of if it’s still bad or not. What is up with his company?”

“₩2.00 billion KRW (about $1.45 million USD) in penalty fees is too much though.”

“If he only went there, then it isn’t even reason to kick him out though?”

This is not the first time Kirara Asuka has been linked to a male celebrity. In the past, she was rumored to have been involved with Hey! Say! JUMP’s Inoo Kei, though both agencies denied the claims. She was also publicly dating Japanese YouTuber Ryu Hirokawa before the Haknyeon scandal.

Haknyeon, who debuted with THE BOYZ in 2017, was a popular member before the controversy. His departure leaves the group with 10 members. The agency has stated they will focus on supporting the remaining members.
