The first look of Nikkhil Advani‘s upcoming period drama The Revolutionaries has been released, showcasing Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, and others as fearless young fighters in India’s struggle for independence. The series, set to premiere on Prime Video in 2026, is based on Sanjeev Sanyal‘s book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom.
The 56-second promo introduces the cast as revolutionaries who believed armed resistance was necessary to overthrow British rule. The visuals highlight intense action sequences, historically accurate costumes, and grand sets filmed across Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi, and Dehradun.
A story On India’s Freedom Struggle
Unlike traditional historical dramas, The Revolutionaries focuses on lesser-known young rebels who played crucial roles in India’s fight for freedom. The series promises to highlight their sacrifices and unwavering patriotism.
Nikkhil Advani said, “Sanjeev Sanyal’s powerful book has given us a compelling foundation to tell the untold stories of these extraordinary young patriots. We have brought together an exceptional crew and cast who are ready to immerse themselves in this story.”
The show features Bhuvan Bam in a never-seen-before intense avatar, Rohit Saraf as a determined revolutionary, and Pratibha Ranta (famous for Laapataa Ladies) as a fierce fighter. Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shah also play key roles.
