The season 3 storyline has followed Dwight “The General” Manfredi’s successful venture into the liquor business. After securing a federal license for his distilleries, Dwight’s economic power grew, severely damaging Jeremiah Dunmire’s operations. Out of options, Jeremiah made a drastic move by targeting Dwight’s family.
The kidnapping of Joanna has given Jeremiah significant bargaining power over Dwight. The finale is expected to center on the tense exchange for her safe return. However, as one report notes, “Once the exchange is done, Dwight will surely come back for him,” promising a major showdown.
Series star Sylvester Stallone, who also contributed to the season’s writing, has heavily teased the finale’s intensity. In a recent interview, he built anticipation for the ending, stating:
“The ending of this season, you are not going to believe…You’re going to think Stallone has lost his mind. I’m telling you, I wrote this scene that really cracks the barrier of beyond the pale.”
He further hinted at a powerful trigger for Dwight’s actions, adding, “he does something towards the end that turns me so feral — which anyone in the audience would feel the same way.”
