TWICE member Chaeyoung will not perform at the group’s “THIS IS FOR” World Tour concert in Kuala Lumpur. JYP Entertainment announced the news just one day before the scheduled performance, stating the decision was made to prioritize the artist’s recovery.

The concert is set for October 25, 2025, at the National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. This is the second recent lineup change for the group’s ongoing world tour, following member Jeongyeon’s absence from a previous show in Bulacan, Philippines, for similar health-related reasons. The concert will proceed with the eight remaining members.

Official Statement from JYP Entertainment

On October 24, JYP Entertainment released an official statement regarding Chaeyoung’s status for the Kuala Lumpur show. The agency confirmed her absence is due to health concerns.

The statement expressed regret, saying, “We sincerely apologize to fans who were looking forward to seeing all nine members on stage and ask for your understanding and continued support.” The company explained the decision was made “after careful consideration prioritizing the artist’s recovery and well-being.” JYP Entertainment also thanked fans for their patience and understanding.

Fan Reactions and Concerns on Social Media

Fans, known as ONCE, quickly expressed their concerns on social media platforms following the announcement. While many shared their disappointment about not seeing the full group, the overwhelming response has been one of support for Chaeyoung’s health.

Some fans online have voiced concerns about the group’s demanding schedule, noting the non-stop cycle of album promotions, tour dates, and individual activities. One fan on Threads commented, “She’s been working non-stop for monthsโ€ฆ no wonder she’s exhausted.” This sentiment reflects a broader worry among the fandom regarding the physical toll of such an intensive world tour on all members.

History of Tour Lineup Adjustments

Chaeyoung’s absence marks another adjustment to the “THIS IS FOR” World Tour lineup. Earlier in the tour, member Jeongyeon was also unable to participate in the show in Bulacan, Philippines, due to health issues.

The current world tour, supporting TWICE’s fourth studio album “This Is For,” began in July 2025 in Incheon, South Korea. The extensive tour spans multiple continents, including Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe, and is currently scheduled to run through June 2026.

Details of the Kuala Lumpur Concert and Ongoing Tour

The Kuala Lumpur performance remains a highly anticipated one-night-only event. Despite Chaeyoung’s absence, fans can expect a full-scale production featuring TWICE’s signature choreography, visuals, and live vocals from the eight performing members.

The setlist for the “THIS IS FOR” World Tour includes a mix of the group’s greatest hits and solo stages for each member. Chaeyoung’s solo song, “In My Room,” was notably absent from the Kuala Lumpur performance. After the Malaysia show, the tour continues with upcoming stops in Sydney, Australia, before moving across North America and Europe in 2026.

JYP Entertainment has stated that they “will continue to monitor Chaeyoung’s condition and provide updates as necessary.”
