Story Recap and Preview
The storyline follows the struggle of a young CEO, Kang Tae-poong, and his bookkeeper, Oh Mi-seon, to save a small trading company during the 1997 South Korean financial crisis.
The recent Episode 8 concluded with a major cliffhanger. The team was in Thailand to broker a deal for helmets. The sales manager, Ma-jin, ignored Mi-seon’s warnings and bribed a customs officer. The incident led Thai police to raid the team’s guest house, resulting in Ma-jin’s arrest.
The preview for Episode 9 shows the serious consequences of this action. Ma-jin is formally accused of bribing a civil servant a sum of $10,000. He is seen begging Tae-poong to help him get out of prison. Meanwhile, the business deal itself is in jeopardy, with pressure mounting to sell the helmets before the entire stock is destroyed.
