The Story of Kaboku and Wanda
“Wandance” is based on a manga by Coffee and tells a coming-of-age story centered on dance. The main character, Kaboku Kotani, is starting high school with a plan to stay quiet and unnoticed, especially because of his stutter. His perspective changes completely when he sees his classmate, Hikari Wanda, dancing with incredible freedom and confidence.
Inspired by Wanda, Kaboku decides to step out of his comfort zone and join the school’s dance club. The series follows their journey as they navigate challenges, friendship, and young love through the art of freestyle dance. The story explores themes of finding one’s voice and the liberating power of self-expression.
