Netflix has released a new character teaser for Bridgerton Season 4, shining a light on one of the ton’s latest debutantes: Miss Posy Li. The brief video arrives just days before the season’s highly anticipated premiere, offering fans a first look at the younger, kinder stepsister in Benedict Bridgerton’s Cinderella-inspired love story. Season 4, which focuses on Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, will be released in two parts, with Part 1 arriving on January 29, 2026, and Part 2 following on February 26, 2026.

Meet Posy Li: The Younger, Kinder Stepsister

Posy Li is one of the two daughters of Lady Araminta Gun, the twice-widowed stepmother of the season’s heroine, Sophie Baek. While her older sister, Rosamund Li, is described as beautiful, vain, and eager to please their mother, Posy is portrayed as the more sympathetic sibling. Official character descriptions from Netflix label Posy as Rosamund’s “younger โ€” and kinder โ€” younger sister.”

โ€œAraminta rarely puts the spotlight on her second child. Posyโ€™s chatty, overly friendly demeanour often has her putting her foot in her mouth,โ€ Netflix says in its description of her character.

This suggests Posy may struggle with the strict social rules of Regency-era London, providing both comic relief and heart within the Gun household. Unlike her mother and sister, who are determined to climb the social ladder, Posy’s friendliness could make her an unlikely ally for Sophie.

Isabella Wei Brings Posy to Life

The role of Posy Li is played by Isabella Wei, a dancer and actor from Hong Kong. Wei is a newcomer to the Bridgerton universe and joins a season that introduces several key new cast members. Her casting adds to the show’s continued expansion of diverse representation within its historical fantasy setting.

Wei appears alongside Katie Leung, who plays her on-screen mother, Lady Araminta Gun, and Michelle Mao, who plays her sister, Rosamund Li. The trio forms the core of the Gun family, who are central to the “upstairs-downstairs” class dynamics that define Benedict and Sophie’s story.

What the Teaser Reveals About Posy

The new teaser, titled โ€œMiss Posy may have a thing or two to learn from the Tonโ€ฆโ€, is a short, playful video that introduces the character. While specific dialogue is scarce, the teaser captures Posy’s enthusiastic and perhaps slightly awkward energy as she navigates high society. The tagline hints that while Posy is new to the ways of the ton, her genuine spirit might also teach the seasoned socialites a thing or two.

This teaser is part of a final promotional push by Netflix before the season launch, following earlier releases of first-look photos and a full trailer that highlighted the central romance between Benedict and Sophie.

How Posy Fits into Benedict and Sophie’s Story

Season 4 adapts Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, โ€œAn Offer From a Gentleman,โ€ which tells the story of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Beckett. In the book, Sophie is mistreated by her stepmother, Lady Araminta, and her two stepsisters. While the show has made adjustmentsโ€”changing Sophie’s last name to Baek and the stepsisters’ surnames to Liโ€”the core dynamic remains.

Posy, as the kinder stepsister, is expected to play a role similar to her literary counterpart. In the book, Posy is a friend to Sophie, offering sympathy in a otherwise cruel household. Her presence in the teaser confirms she will be part of the main family drama, likely providing a contrast to the more antagonistic Rosamund and Araminta.

Bridgerton Season 4 Release Schedule

Bridgerton Season 4 will be released in two parts, continuing the pattern set by Season 3.

  • Part 1 (Episodes 1-4) will be available to stream on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
  • Part 2 (Episodes 5-8) will be released on Wednesday, February 26, 2026.

This split release is designed to build anticipation and extend the conversation around the season. All episodes will be available globally on Netflix at the same time.

Returning Cast and New Additions

The new season features a mix of beloved returning faces and fresh characters. Luke Thompson returns as the romantic lead, Benedict Bridgerton, with Yerin Ha joining as his love interest, Sophie Baek. Other returning cast members include Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), Luke Newton (Colin), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Simone Ashley (Kate), Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet), and Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte).

The major new additions for Season 4 are:

  • Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun, Sophie’s stepmother.
  • Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, Araminta’s eldest daughter.
  • Isabella Wei as Posy Li, Araminta’s younger daughter.

The Focus on Benedict’s Love Story

After three seasons on the sidelines, Benedict Bridgerton finally steps into the spotlight. Showrunner Jess Brownell has described Season 4 as the series’ “most faithful” book adaptation yet, directly pulling key scenes from An Offer From a Gentleman, including the iconic masquerade ball and the “cottage” moments. The season will deeply explore class politics, given Sophie’s position as a maid, making the dynamics within the Gun household crucial to the plot.
