What Happened in the Season 4 Premiere?
The season premiere, “โฆSpeaking of Sharks,” ended with a scene that made viewers think Will Trent might be dead. James Ulster, a dangerous figure from Will’s past played by Greg Germann, escaped prison and kidnapped Will’s nephew. Will agreed to go with Ulster to secure the child’s release. The final scene showed a burned car with two bodies inside and Will’s recorder nearby, leading his colleagues to fear the worst.
Star Ramรณn Rodrรญguez, who also directed the premiere, talked about that intense ending.
“Look, the reality is, ‘Could we just kill our lead character [when the show is] called Will Trent? Not likely,’” Rodrรญguez said. “But when I read the script, I loved that ending. I was like, ‘Oh, that’s exciting.’”
He confirmed that while Will is not dead, the character is in serious danger and the situation has major consequences.
What to Expect in Episode 2: “Love Takes Time”
The official description for the upcoming episode reveals the immediate fallout from the premiere’s cliffhanger.
The GBI team believes Will is dead and desperately searches for answers. However, Angie Polaski begins to question the evidence, sensing that something about the situation does not make sense. Meanwhile, Will is alive but in grave danger. He is shown as “trapped and wounded,” fighting to survive and outsmart his captor.
Rodrรญguez hinted that this episode will explore the psychological battle between Will and Ulster. “We get to see his manipulative ways and he tries to get into Willโs head,” the actor said. “Thereโs going to be some fun twists and some fun reveals in that second episode.”
