A new teaser for the upcoming Marvel series Wonder Man has arrived, giving fans their first real look at the new superhero’s powers and his unique place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The brief but exciting clip is part of the hero’s introduction to the Disney+ lineup.
The six-second teaser, released as part of a Disney+ “Coming Soon” sizzle reel, shows actor and stuntman Simon Williams demonstrating his superhuman strength by smashing a table. The clip also includes a dramatic building explosion, hinting at the scale of the action to come. The series will be released under the Marvel Spotlight banner, which focuses on more grounded, character-driven stories.
Simon Williams Steps Into the Spotlight
The teaser introduces Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, a man trying to make it in Hollywood. A line of actors is seen waiting outside an audition room, with Williams stating, “I was born to play this character.” This aligns with the show’s description as a satire of the entertainment industry.
The cast includes Ben Kingsley, who returns as the beloved character Trevor Slattery. In the teaser, Slattery is heard advising Williams, “It’s not too late to turn this around.” The show also features Demetrius Grosse as Simon’s brother, Eric, and Ed Harris as his agent, Neal Saroyan.
A New Type of Hero for the MCU
Wonder Man will consist of eight episodes. The series is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and is showrun by Andrew Guest from Hawkeye. This creative team suggests a blend of action and character-focused storytelling.
The release strategy for Marvel Spotlight shows is distinct from the main MCU narrative, offering stories that can be enjoyed on their own. Wonder Man will be the second series in this banner after Echo.
When to Watch Wonder Man
Marvel fans won’t have to wait long to see Simon Williams in action. Wonder Man is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in December 2025. The series is part of Marvel’s Phase 6 and represents one of the last live-action TV shows of The Multiverse Saga.

With its combination of super-powered action and a behind-the-scenes look at Hollywood, Wonder Man is shaping up to be a unique and entertaining addition to the MCU.
