YG Entertainment has officially apologized after fans complained about “zero visibility” seats at BLACKPINK‘s recent concert in Goyang, South Korea. The company admitted the N3 section had severe viewing obstructions and is now working on compensation for affected attendees.

On July 7, YG Entertainment released a statement addressing the seating controversy during BLACKPINKโ€™s WORLD TOUR IN GOYANG at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on July 5 and 6. Fans in the N3 section reported being unable to see the stage due to large screens blocking their view, despite paying 130,000 KRW (around $95 USD) per ticket.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to audience members in the N3 section during BLACKPINKโ€™s concert last weekend, where the view of the stage was significantly obstructed,” YG stated.

The company explained that they installed extra LED screens to improve visibility but admitted the solution failed. They are now preparing follow-up measures, with details to be announced via the ticketing platform.

Fans Express Frustration Over Lack of Transparency

Many concertgoers were upset because the ticket purchase page only mentioned “possible view obstruction due to equipment” without specifying that some seats would have zero visibility. Social media was flooded with complaints from fans who felt misled.

“I paid full price but couldnโ€™t see anything except the back of a screen. This is unacceptable,” one fan tweeted.

“They should have clearly labeled these seats as restricted view or offered a discount,” another attendee wrote.

Some fans shared photos and videos showing the blocked sightlines, sparking further outrage.

YG Faces Backlash Over Handling of the Situation

This is not the first time YG Entertainment has faced criticism over concert arrangements. Past events have also seen complaints about poor seating, sound issues, and last-minute changes.

BLACKPINKโ€™s Goyang concerts were part of their ongoing world tour, which has drawn massive crowds globally. The group performed hit songs like Pink Venom,” “Shut Down,” and “How You Like That” during the two-night event.

The company has not yet confirmed what form the compensation will take, but fans are hoping for partial refunds or vouchers for future concerts.

Industry Experts Weigh In on Concert Planning

Event organizers often face challenges in stadium setups, where stage structures can block views. However, experts say transparency is key to avoiding fan dissatisfaction.

“Clear communication about restricted views is essential. Fans deserve to know exactly what theyโ€™re paying for,” said a concert production specialist.

YG Entertainment has promised to review its ticketing policies to prevent similar issues in the future.

BLACKPINKโ€™s Tour Continues Amid Fan Disappointment

Despite the seating controversy, BLACKPINKโ€™s performances received praise for their high-energy choreography and live vocals. The group is set to continue their tour with upcoming stops in other countries.
