The fourth season, which premiered on April 19, 2026, keeps the same filming spots that fans have seen since the show started in 2023.
The production team returned to the Greater Toronto Area to shoot the fantasy drama. Principal photography began on August 11, 2025, and wrapped on November 26, 2025. These locations give the show its small-town feel and help tell the story of three generations of Landry women dealing with family secrets and a magical pond.
The Greater Toronto Area Serves as the Main Production Hub
The entire The Way Home Season 4 was filmed in the Greater Toronto Area, just like the previous three seasons. The production team used this region to stand in for the fictional Port Haven, a small town in New Brunswick, Canada. The area offers a mix of farmland, historic buildings, and waterfront views that match the show’s setting.
Port Perry, a community within the township of Scugog, remains a key filming spot. The Old Mill at 139 Queen Street turns into the Point Cafe on screen. This building has appeared in many scenes across all seasons. Palmer Park at 175 Water Street also hosts production, often transformed into a farmers market or used for outdoor waterfront scenes.
The Landry Family Farm Location Remains Unchanged
The Landry family home, where most of the drama happens, sits on a real property at 4698 Sideline 12 in Claremont, Ontario. This location is part of the Pickering area, about 45 minutes east of Toronto. The house stands in for the Landry farm, where Del, Kat, and Alice live with the magical pond in their yard.
Fans of Canadian television might recognize this house. It previously served as the Green Gables home for the series Anne with an E. The production team painted the house blue and added modern touches to make it work for The Way Home. Both the inside and outside of the property appear throughout the fourth season, keeping the look consistent with earlier episodes.
Historic Sites Double for the Lingermore Estate
The Parkwood National Historic Site at 270 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa plays a major role in the series. This grand estate stands in for Lingermore, the wealthy family property that appears in multiple timelines. Parkwood was the former home of the McLaughlin family, who founded the McLaughlin Motor Car Company, which later became General Motors of Canada. The site received its National Historic Site designation in 1989.
The production team has used Parkwood since season one. The estate’s classic architecture and large grounds make it perfect for showing wealth and status across different time periods. In The Way Home Season 4, the location appears in scenes that connect past and present storylines.
Other Ontario Locations Used in Season 4
Several other spots across Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area help create the world of Port Haven. Uxbridge and Pickering provide rural backdrops for outdoor scenes. Bluffer’s Park in Scarborough, with the famous Scarborough Bluffs, gives the show waterfront views that suggest the fictional New Brunswick coastline.
