The April 28 episode of Will Trent took viewers on a wild ride through the Special Agent’s mind. Titled “Where’d You Come From, Little Angel?”, the episode dealt with the aftermath of Amanda Wagner’s shocking death. The GBI team worked a twisted double homicide while Will fought for his life inside a morgue drawer.

Will Trent Season 4 Episode 17 Cast brought back a familiar face in a surprising way. Instead of Sonja Sohn returning as the adult Amanda, the show used Sydney Park to play a younger version of the character. This dream-like reunion gave Will the closure he desperately needed.
Here is a complete breakdown of every main and guest star who appeared in Will Trent Season 4 Episode 17.
The Main Cast Returning for Episode 17
Ramón Rodríguez led the episode as GBI Special Agent Will Trent. Grieving the loss of his surrogate mother, Will struggled to focus on the murder case. He walked out of a crime scene for the first time in his career. Later, after being attacked and locked in a morgue drawer, he entered a dream state where he confronted his past and finally said goodbye to Amanda.
Iantha Richardson played GBI Special Agent Faith Mitchell. She noticed Will was off his game immediately. With Amanda gone, Faith stepped up as the unofficial leader of the team. Her sharp instincts helped connect the dots on the murder case.

Erika Christensen returned as APD Homicide Detective Angela Polaski. Angie is very close to her delivery date. Despite that, she worked the case hard. Her quick thinking helped the team realize Will was missing and in danger.
Jake McLaughlin played APD Homicide Detective Michael Ormewood. He worked alongside Angie to track down the killer. Ormewood made the final arrest and helped pull Will out of the locked morgue drawer just in time.
Kevin Daniels appeared as APD Homicide Detective Franklin Wilks. He provided support to the team and shared some funny moments teasing Angie about how long her pregnancy has lasted.
Scott Foley played Dr. Seth McDale, Angie’s husband. Seth provided medical insight into the case. He explained how certain worms secrete a neurotoxin that can slow the heart and mimic death. This clue helped Will solve the murder.
The Guest Star Everyone Is Talking About
Sydney Park took on the role of Young Amanda Wagner. Park had previously played a younger version of the GBI Director in flashback scenes during Seasons 1 and 2. Episode 17 gave her much more screen time.
In Will’s dream, Young Amanda guided him through their shared history. He blamed her for putting him in foster care instead of adopting him. She explained that she brought him into the GBI to make up for that mistake. While she rarely showed emotion, she admitted she loved him like a son.
Before the episode aired, Park shared her excitement on social media. She posted a photo of herself in costume sitting at the captain’s desk. She wrote kind words about Sonja Sohn, who plays the adult Amanda.
“It’s been such an honor to step into the shoes of Young Amanda on #WillTrent. @sonjasohn, you are one special lady… so full of good humor, genuine love of your craft. Where’d you come from little angel? The epitome of beauty & brains.” – Sydney Park on social media
