Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 6 Cast brings back a fan-favorite character after a seven-year break. The episode, titled โ€œRequiem,โ€ features the long-awaited return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, marking her first appearance in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe since her Netflix series ended in 2019.

The episode picks up right after the shocking death of Vanessa Fisk in Episode 5. A grieving Wilson Fisk becomes more dangerous than ever, and the resistance against his rule finally spills into the streets of New York. With only two episodes left this season, the tension has reached its highest point yet.

Jessica Jones Finally Returns After Seven Years

The episode opens in a surprising location: a quiet suburban home. A young girl plays alone outside while her mother watches from inside. Suddenly, armed men from Fiskโ€™s Anti-Vigilante Task Force raid the house. The mother fights them off using her super strength, and viewers finally see her face โ€” it is Jessica Jones.

Jessica now lives outside the city with her young daughter, Danielle. In the comics, Danielle is the daughter of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. The episode does not mention Luke Cage by name, but comic book fans quickly noticed the reference.

Jessica tells Matt Murdock later in the episode that her powers sometimes stop working since she had her daughter. This creates real danger during fights, but her strength still proves powerful enough to help take down Fiskโ€™s men.

โ€œJessica Jones has been hiding in the suburbs with her daughter for years. The moment she puts on her leather jacket again, it feels like no time has passed at all.โ€ โ€” Social media reaction following the episode

The return comes after years of fan campaigns asking Marvel to bring back the characters from the Netflix shows. Ritter played Jessica Jones for three seasons on Netflix from 2015 to 2019. Her arrival in โ€œRequiemโ€ confirms that Marvel is finally connecting those stories to the main MCU timeline.

Main Cast and Characters in Episode 6

Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil. The episode finds Matt torn between his duty as a lawyer and his role as a masked vigilante. Vincent Dโ€˜Onofrio plays Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin. After Vanessaโ€™s death, Fisk becomes more unstable and violent. He kills a doctor who tries to comfort him by breaking his spine. He then sits alone in front of a white painting called โ€œRabbit in a Snowstorm,โ€ his last connection to his dead wife.

Matt and Karen Clash Over Morals While Fisk Cracks Down

The disagreement between Matt and Karen forms the emotional core of Episode 6. Karen wants Bullseye dead after everything he has taken from them. Matt refuses to cross that line, even when every part of him wants to.

Meanwhile, protests grow larger outside City Hall. Karen, Angela, and others play recorded testimony from AVTF hostages that never reached the media. The crowd swells as more people learn the truth about Fiskโ€™s actions.

Powell kills Officer Saunders, the AVTF member who helped Daredevil and Karen earlier in the season. He then blames the death on the protestors, leading to violence in the streets. Karen loses her wig during the chaos, and Powell holds her at gunpoint as the credits roll.

The episode ends with Fisk and Daredevil fighting in an empty port. Daredevil offers a deal: both men leave New York for the good of the city. Fisk refuses. The fight ends in a stalemate, but the white painting โ€” Fiskโ€™s last link to Vanessa โ€” is destroyed. With Karen now captured and Fisk more dangerous than ever, the final two episodes promise an explosive conclusion.
