Off Campus is officially returning to Briar University. Prime Video has confirmed that Season 2 of its hit college hockey romance will premiere on April 28, 2027, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The new season shifts the spotlight away from Hannah and Garrett and puts Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) and Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) at the center of the story. The announcement arrived on November 5, 2026, through a short teaser video featuring the two leads, and the date is now locked for viewers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, India, and every other market where Prime Video operates.
The New Leads: Dean and Allie Take Over
Season 1 followed the fake-dating romance between Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) and Hannah Wells (Ella Bright). Season 2 hands the main story to a different couple from the same friend group. Dean Di Laurentis is one of Briar University’s biggest hockey stars, known for his charm and his preference for casual relationships. Allie Hayes is Hannah’s friend, trying to figure out her next move after a difficult breakup. Their path crossed in Season 1 when Allie stayed at the off-campus hockey house, and what started as a rebound became something more complicated.
Stephen Kalyn and Mika Abdalla both return as series leads. The pair appeared in the Season 2 announcement video, which showed them outside a door marked “Dean’s Office” at Briar University. Kalyn opens the door and asks if viewers missed them. Abdalla then confirms the pair are officially back.
“I truly love working with Stephen so much. I’m excited that I get to do this with him because I trust him so much.” — Mika Abdalla, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter before the Season 2 lead announcement
The Book Change: Why Season 2 Skips The Mistake
The show is based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off Campus book series. The first book, The Deal, told Hannah and Garrett’s story. The second book, The Mistake, follows John Logan (Antonio Cipriano) and Grace Ivers (India Fowler). A straight adaptation would have made Logan and Grace the Season 2 leads. Prime Video chose a different path.
Season 2 will adapt the third book, The Score, which centers on Dean and Allie. The decision was shared soon after Season 1 premiered, and showrunner Louisa Levy has explained that the change was strategic. The show is not ignoring The Mistake entirely. India Fowler joins the series as a regular in Season 2, playing Grace Ivers, Logan’s love interest. Antonio Cipriano returns as John Logan, and the pair are set to get their own romantic storyline alongside the main Dean and Allie plot.

Guest stars for the new season include Charlie Evans as Hunter Davenport, Dean’s former high-school hockey rival, and Shay Rudolph as Summer, Dean’s younger sister.
Not returning for Season 2 are Josh Heuston, who played Hannah’s crush Justin Kohl in a one-season arc, along with Chad Willett (Coach Jensen), Steve Howey (Phil Graham), and Chelah Horsdal (Carrie Wells).
Behind the Scenes: The Team Making Season 2
Louisa Levy created the series and continues as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman executive produce for Temple Hill. Annika Patton serves as co-executive producer. Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty also executive produce. Elle Kennedy, the author behind the Off Campus universe, is a producer on the series.
Filming for Season 2 took place in Vancouver from June 1 to September 18, 2026, with North Shore Studios serving as one of the primary locations. The University of British Columbia in Vancouver was used as the Briar University campus in Season 1 and is expected to remain the same for continuity.
How Big Was Season 1?
Off Campus Season 1 debuted on May 13, 2026, with all eight episodes arriving on the same day. Through its first 12 days, the season reached 36 million viewers worldwide, according to Prime Video. At the time of launch, it was the third most-viewed debut season of any series in Prime Video history. Among women aged 18 to 34, it was Prime Video’s most-viewed series debut season of all time. Six months after launch, the show remained in Prime Video’s global Top 10, sitting at number six for the week of October 26, 2026. The first season holds a 92% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Sometimes you fall in love with a couple, and then you get their happily ever after.” — Louisa Levy, creator and showrunner, speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the show’s approach to switching focus between couples
What Season 1 Set Up for Dean and Allie
Season 1 spent time building the tension between Dean and Allie before they took the lead. Dean is written as funny, confident, and always ready to flirt, but he has made it clear he prefers casual relationships and has little interest in getting emotionally attached. Allie arrives at Briar after a difficult breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Sean. She has acting ambitions, family pressures, and an uncertain future weighing on her. When she ends up staying at the off-campus hockey house, she crosses paths with Dean. Their relationship begins as a one-night rebound and soon becomes more complicated, pushing both of them to question what they really want.
Episode 6 of Season 1 served as a soft launch for the Dean and Allie story. Stephen Kalyn previously told The Hollywood Reporter: “I consider [episode six] a pilot episode or a soft launch for season two and what you’re going to expect. I was so grateful to learn from Ella and Belmont and watch those two great phenomenal actors lead season one”.
