The wait is finally over for spy thriller fans. Prime Video has brought back Citadel for a second season, and all seven episodes dropped on May 6, 2026. The new season brings back familiar faces while adding several new operatives to the team.
The show follows elite agents trying to stop a worldwide conspiracy after their independent spy agency was destroyed. Three years after the first season ended, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden return as Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane, two spies whose memories were erased but are now pulled back into action.
Returning Main Cast Members Reunite for a Dangerous New Mission
Priyanka Chopra Jonas returns as Nadia Sinh, a top-level Citadel spy known for her fighting skills and sharp mind. Nadia struggles with her past and her connection to the rival group Manticore, which adds tension throughout the season. Fans have praised her performance, with many calling her the highlight of the new episodes.
Richard Madden is back as Mason Kane, the other half of the spy duo. After the first season ended with Mason living under a new identity called Kyle Conroy, season two pulls him back into the spy world. Stanley Tucci also returns as Bernard Orlick, the strategist who brings the team together again despite his own memory problems from season one.

Another viewer said: “The ‘Sexy Robot’ Richard Madden is back, but this time with a soul — and the chemistry with PC is pure electricity.”
However, some viewers expressed disappointment with the season. One user wrote: “#Citadel2 fails to impress with a dull storyline, weak suspense, and outdated plot.”
