The VisionQuest series now has a confirmed release date. Paul Bettany returns as the beloved android in this third and final chapter of the WandaVision trilogy. Disney made the announcement during their Upfront presentation in New York City on May 12, 2026.

The show will start streaming on Disney+ starting October 14, 2026. This marks the end of a story that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024.

Bettany Brings White Vision Back to the Screen

Paul Bettany appeared on stage at the Disney Upfronts alongside Robert Downey Jr and Tom Hiddleston. They talked about their upcoming Marvel projects. Downey Jr will play Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, while Hiddleston returns as Loki for the same film.

The last time audiences saw the character, White Vision flew away after getting his memories back. In this new series, the character faces a major problem. He has Vision’s memories but did not live through them. He cannot feel the emotions attached to those moments.

The first footage shown to press members features Vision in his human form, watching clips from his old life like a movie. He says, “I possess the memories, but I lack the emotions of my predecessor entirely.”

James Spader Returns as Ultron Along With a Strong Cast

The show brings back James Spader as the voice of Ultron. The villain created Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Spader will also appear on screen in human form to torment his creation.

The supporting cast includes many familiar faces and new characters. Ruaridh Mollica plays Thomas Shepherd, the grown-up version of Tommy Maximoff. Tommy is the son of Vision and Wanda Maximoff who disappeared at the end of WandaVision. Agatha All Along showed that Billy Kaplan (formerly Billy Maximoff) had moved Tommy’s soul into another body, which sets up this appearance.

Todd Stashwick plays Paladin, a bounty hunter after Vision’s technology. T’Nia Miller joins as Jocasta, a vengeful robot from Marvel comics. The cast also includes Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and James D’Arcy returning as J.A.R.V.I.S.

Diane Morgan, known for playing Philomena Cunk, also joins the series in an unknown role.

The Story Focuses on a Robot Searching for Purpose

The eight-episode series follows White Vision’s search for meaning. After the events of WandaVision, the synthetic hero has no home and no clear identity. He does not have Wanda by his side. He is not the same Vision who fell in love with her.

Each episode will copy a different style of film. Showrunner Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, leads the creative team. He also wrote and directed parts of the series.

The footage shown at the Upfronts includes Ultron appearing to Vision in human form. Other scenes show Vision watching scenes from older MCU projects. He tries to understand who he is by looking at who he used to be.

How to Watch VisionQuest in Different Regions

VisionQuest will be available exclusively on Disney+. The streaming service works in the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, and many other countries. Global audiences can watch on October 14, 2026, with episodes likely dropping at midnight Pacific Time or early morning in each region. Disney typically releases new episodes weekly rather than all at once.

Fans in India can watch on Disney+ Hotstar starting the same day. The exact timing will be announced closer to the release date.

The Final Piece of the WandaVision Trilogy

Marvel calls this show the final part of a trilogy. WandaVision introduced the characters in a strange sitcom-style mystery. Agatha All Along followed the witch who caused many problems in Westview. Now VisionQuest will close the loop by focusing on the remaining member of the family.

The show was filmed at Pinewood Studios in London from March to July 2025. Multiple directors worked on different episodes, including Matalas, Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, and Vincenzo Natali.

While some rumors suggest Chris Pratt might appear as Star-Lord, Marvel has not confirmed any Guardians of the Galaxy connections to this series.
