The upcoming Viva One series “Dating Alys Perez” is bringing back the love triangle that viewers loved. But one key face will look different. Actor Zeke Polina has officially joined the cast as Tripp Palma, taking over the role originally played by Dylan Menor.
The show is the second season of the hit Wattpad adaptation “Seducing Drake Palma.” It continues the story of Alys Perez and Drake Palma, played by returning stars Angela Muji and Rabin Angeles. The new season jumps four years ahead. Alys has moved on from her painful high school relationship with Drake and is now in a happy relationship with her boyfriend, Tripp.
Why Dylan Menor Left The Show
Dylan Menor will not return for the second season. The production company confirmed that his busy schedule caused the change.
Viva One and Viva Studio released a statement thanking Menor for his part in the series. “We thank Dylan Menor for his part in the series. We fully support his new endeavors and wish him the best in his future projects,” the statement read.
Menor is currently starring in another Viva One series, “Project Loki,” and has other shows on TV5. The production team decided to move forward with the new season rather than delay filming. They started looking for a new actor to bring Tripp back to life.

Zeke Polina, 20, will celebrate his 21st birthday on May 12, 2026. He called the opportunity an early gift. When he first heard the news, he was completely surprised.

Polina is best known for playing Ace “Supremo” Craige in the Viva One series “Hell University”. That character is serious and cold but caring toward his love interest. Now he has to switch gears to play Tripp, who is charming and emotionally mature.
To prepare for the role, Polina has been watching “Seducing Drake Palma” to understand the backstory. “The challenge is definitely the difference of the two characters. From Supremo na serious type to Tripp na charming. But I’ll do my best to make sure I’ll be able to give justice to the portrayal of Tripp just like what I did to Supremo,” he said.
Who Tripp Palma Is In The Story
Tripp Palma is Drake’s cousin. In the first season, his father always looked down on him for not being as smart as Drake. Unlike Drake, Tripp loves photography and other creative activities.
Tripp is also one of Alys’ biggest love interests. He is funny, calm, dependable, and emotionally mature. These qualities make him very different from Drake, who is mysterious and complicated. Tripp fell in love with Alys at first sight and has always been there for her.
In “Dating Alys Perez,” Tripp is officially Alys’ boyfriend. She feels safe and secure with him after Drake broke her heart. But the peace does not last long because Drake returns and wants to win her back.
