The Way Home is saying goodbye after four seasons. Before the final episode airs on June 21, 2026, Hallmark Channel will release the show’s complete soundtrack. The playlist drops on June 12, 2026, giving fans a chance to hear over 30 songs from all four seasons. This includes original music, covers, and scores from the time-traveling family drama.
Over 30 Songs From All Four Seasons Coming to Streaming Platforms
The The Way Home soundtrack will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other streaming services. Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow announced the news at the ATX TV Festival in Austin, Texas. The playlist contains 30 tracks at launch, featuring music from every season of the show.
Two songs from the final two episodes will be added later. Episode 9 airs on June 14, and the series finale airs on June 21. After each episode releases, its respective song joins the playlist. This gives listeners the complete musical collection from the entire series.
The soundtrack includes several songs performed by Laflamme-Snow, who plays Alice Dhawan. These songs are “By the Light of the Moon” and “Where This Water Meets the Sea.” Multiple versions of “Everything I Wanted” are also part of the collection. Cover songs on the playlist include “You Learn” performed by Leigh, “Time After Time” performed by Williams, and “Summer Breeze” performed by Jordan Doww and Laflamme-Snow. All instrumental scores come from the show’s composer Keith Power.
Showrunners Explain Why Music Matters to The Way Home
The show spans different timelines and eras. Music helped the producers set the tone for each time period. Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke, who are the showrunners and executive producers, spoke about the soundtrack in a joint statement.
“Music has always been a character in The Way Home. From the lullabies that connect mothers to daughters, to the songs that define entire eras, this collection tells the story of the Landry family as much as the dialogue does. We are so proud to share this music with the fans who have supported us for four incredible seasons.”
The The Way Home Season 4 finale is scheduled for June 21, 2026. Episode 7 airs on May 31. The last three episodes then air weekly on Sundays. All episodes air at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Hallmark Channel. Next day streaming is available on Hallmark+.
The Final Season Brings Closure to the Landry Family Story
The Way Home Season 4 premiered on April 19, 2026. This is the show’s last run. Hallmark announced the renewal for a fourth season back in March 2025, just one day before the Season 3 finale. The decision to end the show came from the creators. They wanted to finish the story properly rather than stretch it out.
The final season follows Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), her daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow), and her mother Del (Andie MacDowell). They continue using the magical pond on their property to travel through time. This season focuses on the mystery of Elliot’s (Evan Williams) mother, Tessa, who left him by the pond as a baby. Kat travels to 1925 to search for answers. Alice goes back to 1976 to reconnect with old friends.
Andie MacDowell told TV Insider that hearing this would be the final season “was disappointing.” But she added, “We just had to give it all. And that’s what we did. We just buckled down and did our most beautiful work that we could possibly do.”
Chyler Leigh called saying goodbye to the show “really hard.” She said she went to the pond after filming her last scene to thank it “for everything that she did.” Sadie Laflamme-Snow said the hardest part is “saying bye to the people” because the set “became such a home.”
