Omar Sy returns as Assane Diop, the clever master of disguise who takes inspiration from the classic Arsรจne Lupin books. Part 4 will have eight episodes, each running about 45 minutes.

Part 3 Ended With Assane in Prison

The last season left viewers with a major cliffhanger. Part 3 came out in October 2023. In those seven episodes, Assane faked his own death. He lived in hiding while pulling off dangerous thefts. His goal was to get a safe and quiet life for his wife, son, mother, and best friend.

But by the end of Part 3, Assane came to a hard truth. The only way to protect his family was to give himself up. He turned himself in to the police. The season ended with him behind bars.

Returning Cast and New Season Details

Alongside Omar Sy, several familiar faces are coming back. Ludivine Sagnier returns as Claire, Assane’s former partner and the mother of his son. Antoine Gouy is back as Benjamin Ferel, Assane’s loyal childhood friend and partner in crime. Soufiane Guerrab returns as Youssef Guรฉdira, the police officer who has long suspected Assane’s true identity. Shirine Boutella plays Sofia Belkacem, another officer on the case. Thรฉo Christine and Laรฏka Blanc-Francard will also appear in the new episodes.

The new season picks up right after that dramatic moment. Assane is in prison. But being locked up does not stop him. The challenge now is different. He cannot move freely or plan heists the way he used to. He has to use his brain in a much smaller space.

Production Team Behind Part 4

George Kay and Franรงois Uzan created the series. They worked with Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer, and Tigran Rosine on the new season. The writing team for Part 4 includes Mathilde Arnaud, Jean-Yves Arnaud, Tigran Rosine, and Florent Meyer. Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout, and Hugo Gรฉlin directed the episodes.

The show comes from Gaumont in partnership with Carrousel Studios, where Omar Sy is a partner. The series is freely inspired by the work of Maurice Leblanc, who created the character Arsรจne Lupin in the early 1900s.

What to Expect From Part 4

Assane’s time in prison will not be easy. The trailer and poster suggest he will face enemies on the inside. But fans know that Assane always has a plan. He never stops thinking three steps ahead. The new season promises more twists, more disguises, and more action.

The show remains one of Netflix’s biggest non-English hits. It has fans all over the world. Part 4 will stream in over 190 countries on the same day. Viewers in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and India can all watch starting October 23.
