What Happened in Episode 10
Episode 10, titled “One Last Tantrum,” aired on June 9, 2026. The episode showed major progress in the story. It was Christmas Eve, and the class was having a party. Maki had different plans. He got both of his parents to meet him by telling them different stories so he could talk to them about their divorce.
During this meeting, Maki’s mother called out his father for being a coward who always runs away. While Maki wanted his parents to get back together, he knew it could not happen. But the family was able to clear the air and come to an understanding. Umi also made up with her friends Sanae and Manka at the party.
The biggest moment came when Maki introduced Umi to his father as the girl he loves. Umi had already confessed her feelings to him earlier. But Maki had been unable to say it back because of his family situation and his own worries. This episode marked the point where both Maki and Umi got the closure they needed to move into a real relationship.

Story Summary
The anime is based on a light novel series. The story follows Maki Maehara, a student who struggled to make friends during his high school years. Then he meets Umi Asanagi. The boys in class secretly call her the “second cutest girl in class.” Despite their different social worlds, Umi chooses to spend her Fridays with Maki instead of with her best friend Yuu Amami, who holds the “cutest girl in class” title.
Together, they play games, watch movies, read manga, and eat junk food like pizza and hamburgers. To others, they might seem like an odd pair. But for both of them, this time together is something they truly value.
