The Thursday, June 11, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives delivered a heavy dose of heartbreak and desperation. While Chanel Dupree finally made the brave decision to move forward with chemotherapy for her breast cancer, her mother Paulina Price reacted by going to extreme lengths. Paulina marched straight to EJ DiMera and demanded access to Dr. Rolf’s miracle elixir, unaware that the drug is currently failing the only person who has taken it: Lexie Carver.

Here is everything that happened on DAYS this Thursday.

Paulina’s Desperate Move: Barging Into the DiMera Mansion

After hearing Chanel outline the harsh realities of her treatment plan—chemo, an early induced delivery, the inability to breastfeed, and being kept away from her toddler son Trey to protect her immune system—Paulina (Jackée Harry) put on a brave face for her daughter. But the moment she stepped out of the apartment, her expression shifted from supportive mother to a woman willing to break the rules.

Paulina arrived at the DiMera mansion with a singular demand. She cornered EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and asked him directly for the Versavix serum, the drug Dr. Rolf created that cured Lexie’s brain tumor.

“I want that drug for my daughter. You owe me.”

EJ looked genuinely pained by the request. He knows that Chanel is not just his son’s wife but the mother of his unborn grandchild. However, he also knows the horrifying truth about the drug’s side effects.

The Secret EJ Is Desperately Hiding From Salem

While Paulina was pleading for a miracle for Chanel, Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) was privately falling apart upstairs and at Abe’s house. Lexie had already been through the impossible—presumed dead for fifteen years before miraculously returning—but now her miracle is fading.

Lexie told EJ that her hands had started shaking. Dr. Rolf drew a grim conclusion based on the rodent he had treated with the same drug: the animal was dead. Lexie is likely heading in the same direction, possibly within weeks.

EJ refused to accept it, insisting he would not let this happen. But Lexie was not comforted. She made him promise not to tell anyone, specifically Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), before breaking down completely. Later, at Abe’s, Lexie dropped a glass as her hands gave out. Theo came home and found her cleaning up the mess. She told him she was fine, tears running openly down her face, as long as she had him and Abe beside her.

This leaves EJ in an impossible position. If he gives Paulina the drug, he risks killing Chanel and his grandchild with an untested formula that is actively killing Lexie. If he refuses without explanation, Paulina won’t stop. And if he tells Paulina the truth about Lexie’s deterioration, he betrays Lexie’s dying wish.

EJ ultimately refused Paulina’s demand, and he quickly left the room to avoid further questioning. Paulina was left bug-eyed and furious, demanding to know why he wouldn’t help their shared family.

Chanel Finally Says Yes to Chemotherapy

Despite the tension with her mother, Chanel (Raven Bowens) had a relatively positive day. She and Johnny (Carson Boatman) met with a new oncologist who had a much better bedside manner than the previous doctor. Chanel told Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) that the doctor addressed her concerns and agreed to start treatment as soon as possible.

When Chanel returned home, she broke the plan down for Paulina. She will have a few rounds of chemo, have surgery to remove the tumor, and then be induced a few weeks early to expose the baby to the chemo as little as possible.

While Chanel seemed to be at peace with the decision—focusing on survival so she can be there for her children—Paulina could only focus on the risks and the sacrifice.

Xander Interrupts EJ’s Day and Holly Gets a Threat

Elsewhere in Salem, Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) was in tears at the town square over Amy’s continued threats regarding the lawsuit over Sophia’s death. When she ran into EJ, his response was immediate and unsettling: “I’ll take care of it.”

Before EJ could elaborate, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) grabbed him by the shoulder and yanked him aside. The two men squared off, arguing over whose family Holly belonged to. However, the real tension ran deeper: EJ had ratted Xander out to Gwen (Emily O’Brien) about his affair with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Xander warned EJ to stay away, while EJ worried Xander might retaliate by telling Sarah the truth about his schemes, which would blow up everything.

A Father-Son Struggle and a Sweet Moment With Theo

At work, Johnny admitted to Theo that supporting his wife’s decision has been incredibly difficult because he personally disagrees with the path she has chosen. Although he wants to stand beside Chanel, the emotional conflict weighs heavily on him.

However, Theo agreed to stay on at DiMera Enterprises to help Johnny run the company temporarily. Both young men bonded over their shared love for Chanel and their desire to change the legacy of the DiMera name together.

What’s Next for Lexie and the Versavix Drug

The episode ended with EJ in turmoil. By refusing Paulina, he has bought himself some time, but Paulina is not the type to take no for an answer. She believes the drug is a cure, but the audience knows it is a poison that is slowly killing Lexie.

With Lexie potentially having only weeks to live, and Paulina sniffing around for a cure, a major collision is inevitable. Will EJ crack under the pressure from Paulina? And will the truth about Lexie’s deteriorating health come out before it is too late?
