Days of our Lives fans are in for a sentimental and dramatic week from June 22 to 26, 2026. The show celebrates Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Dr. Marlena Evans with surprise returns and flashbacks. At the same time, Holly Jonas faces a frightening medical crisis that could connect to a larger mystery in Salem.

The week kicks off with Marlena reflecting on her five decades in Salem. She sits with old photo albums, remembering her late husband John and the many lives she has touched. A knock at the door brings Paul (Christopher Sean), John’s son, who comes to visit his stepmother. Andrew (Colton Little) also returns to Salem but has business with the ISA.

Marlena’s 50th Anniversary Brings Flashbacks and Family

Monday, June 22, marks a milestone for both Deidre Hall and her character. Hall first joined the soap 50 years ago, and the show is going all out with memories and surprises. Marlena looks through old photo albums when Paul arrives at her door. Belle (Martha Madison) joins them, and the trio takes what Marlena calls “a little stroll down memory lane.”

The celebration is bittersweet because John (Drake Hogestyn) passed away a year ago. Marlena has been coping with being a widow, but having Paul and Belle around brings some comfort. Fans can expect many flashbacks showing Marlena’s incredible journey in Salem.

The nostalgic moments continue throughout the week. Marlena’s anniversary is a reminder of everything she has experienced in Salem. She has raised a family, survived countless kidnappings, and become one of the town’s most beloved figures.

The Mystery of Stefano’s Chess Set Deepens

While Marlena looks back, Chad (Conner Floyd) and Belle continue investigating the chess set Stefano DiMera left behind. Theo previously found a secret compartment, and now Chad and Belle use a key to open another one. They discover money inside, but it is cash from another country, specifically old Italian currency.

This raises the question of what message Stefano is trying to send from beyond the grave. On Friday, June 26, Belle and Chad continue unraveling this mystery. The chess set has become a major storyline, and each clue brings them closer to understanding Stefano’s final game.

Andrew (Colton Little) returns to Salem with his own agenda. He scolds Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) for going rogue too often. Cat is determined to get to the bottom of the DiMera medication issues, but Andrew orders her to stop her plans. Cat, however, tells him she has already started. This puts her at odds with Andrew and could lead to serious trouble.

Holly’s Health Crisis Shocks Salem

The most alarming news of the week concerns Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). Holly collapsed at the Horton Cabin while spending time with friends, including Tate and Aaron. She had been feeling sick and vomited earlier, but things took a turn when she passed out cold.

She is rushed to the hospital, and blood tests reveal she tested positive for opiates, specifically a drug called Coriseal. This is the same drug that killed Destiny and her sister. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is shocked because Holly was recently prescribed a new antidepressant medication. The common denominator seems to be DiMera Pharmaceuticals, which manufactured the drug.

The situation becomes more alarming as the week continues. On Wednesday, June 24, Holly collapses again. Sarah and Brady (Eric Martsolf) dig deeper into the recent Coriseal deaths, working together to find answers. The fact that the same drug that killed two people is now in Holly’s system raises serious concerns about Salem’s drug supply.

Xander (Paul Telfer) starts asking questions and doing some digging into DiMera Pharmaceuticals. He places a call and requests to see everything from two years ago. This investigation could bring down the rival company if the drugs are indeed tainted. Sarah asks Xander for a favor on Tuesday, June 23, likely related to this growing investigation.

Some viewers have expressed concern about the message this storyline sends to young people about mental health treatment. Holly finally had the courage to seek help, only to have her medication poison her. It adds another layer of tragedy to an already difficult situation.

Salem Faces More Drama This Week

The drama extends beyond Marlena and Holly. On Tuesday, June 23, Brady officially joins Black Patch, making his mother proud. He continues investigating Destiny’s death with Sarah, focusing on the Coriseal case. The connection to Holly’s collapse only makes this investigation more urgent.

EJ (Dan Feuerreigel) confronts his sister Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) on Monday. By Thursday, Kristen fears for her life and asks Xander for protection. EJ puts Xander on the spot in front of Sarah on Friday, which adds more tension to their already complicated relationship.

By the end of the week, Brady and Kristen must deliver troubling news to their daughter Rachel on Friday, June 26. Liam says goodbye to Ari on Wednesday. Gabi surprises Theo, and Ari demands the truth from Gabi on Thursday. Philip and Alex fear what comes next for them, while Stephanie makes an empowering decision.

Days of our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock. New episodes drop on weekday mornings at 6/5c.
