The latest episode of the hit K-drama The Husband has left viewers on the edge of their seats. Episode 6, which aired on July 19, 2026, takes the tension to a whole new level. The episode shows Ko Se-yun (played by Lee Seol) making a daring escape from her kidnapper, only to fall into an even more dangerous trap. The thrilling chase scene across a frozen lake and a shocking betrayal at the end have become the talk of the town.
A Desperate Escape Through the Frozen Woods
The episode begins with a flashback showing Lee Soo-hyung and his wife on a road trip. A suspicious SUV blocks their car. When Soo-hyung confronts the driver, it is revealed to be Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung). He apologizes but secretly takes a picture of their license plate. This moment shows that Man-hee’s obsession with the family started long before the current events.
Back in the present, Se-yun is still held captive. She does not wait for help. She attacks Man-hee and escapes from the room. She runs through the woods, trying to find a way out. The scene is full of tension as Man-hee follows closely behind her. The production team called this chase the peak of Episode 6’s excitement.
Tae-ju’s Race Against Time
While Se-yun fights for her life, her husband Kang Tae-ju (played by Namkoong Min) is also in serious trouble. He goes to the hospital to find clues about his wife’s disappearance. But his happy memories with Se-yun and their daughter are interrupted when the hospital’s security system detects his access to Se-yun’s medical records. The police are alerted, and Tae-ju becomes a fugitive again.
Tae-ju runs into his colleague Myeong-hee while trying to escape. She helps him hide from the police. She believes him when he says he is not responsible for Se-yun’s disappearance. This small moment of trust gives Tae-ju a chance to keep searching for his wife.
A Shocking Twist: The Woman Who Offered Help
Se-yun finally reaches a road after running through the forest. A woman in a car stops to help her. Se-yun explains that she was kidnapped and asks to be taken to the police. The woman, named Kim Kyung-ae, seems kind and agrees to help.
But this is where the episode delivers its biggest shock. Kyung-ae is not a random stranger. She is Man-hee’s wife and his partner in crime. She secretly drugs Se-yun. When Se-yun wakes up, she is back in captivity. The episode also reveals that Kyung-ae was the mysterious woman speaking through the basement wall. The supposed captive named Lee Seon-ja never existed. It was all a plan to break Se-yun mentally.
Tae-ju Finds the Hideout, But Danger Strikes Again
Tae-ju works hard and finally finds Man-hee’s identity and location. He goes to the hideout and rescues Se-yun. For a brief moment, it looks like they are safe. But Man-hee is not done yet. He attacks their car and hits Tae-ju with a baseball bat, leaving him helpless. The episode ends with Tae-ju on the ground and Se-yun’s fate completely unknown.
