What Happened So Far

The Villager of Level 999 takes place in a world called Earthclear. In this world, everyone is born into a fixed class or role. Heroes are heroes. Mages are mages. Warriors are warriors. Villagers are considered the weakest class of all. Most people never rise above Level 5.

Koji Kagami is born as a villager. But he does not accept his limitations. He spends years training and hunting monsters. Through pure determination and hard work, he reaches Level 999. This puts him far beyond what should be possible for someone of his class.

During a monster hunt, Koji meets Alice, the daughter of the Demon King. They discover they share an impossible dream: peaceful coexistence between humans and demons. Koji decides to help Alice. Together with Alice and her loyal demon servant Menow Abrasha, they begin working toward peace between the two races.

In episode 4, which released on July 22, 2026, the story continued to build toward this goal. Koji and his group faced new challenges as they moved forward with their mission. The Demon King’s army attacked Koji’s city, forcing him to take action. Koji fought back against the demons and set out with Alice, Menow, and Takako toward the Demon King’s castle.
