Jung Hae In, Song Kang, and Ahn Bo Hyun lead the pack with their respective projects, while several other popular actors return to the small screen with fresh stories.
The month kicks off with a webtoon-based office romance on August 3 and wraps up with Song Kang’s post-military comeback on August 29. In between, viewers get a second season of a popular action-comedy, a Netflix romantic comedy, a 100-episode revenge drama, a divorce comedy, and a military comedy’s fourth season.

My Bias, My Boss – Premieres August 3 on tvN and Prime Video
My Bias, My Boss kicks off the month on August 3 at 8:50 PM KST. The romantic comedy airs on tvN in South Korea and streams on Prime Video and Viki in international regions. The series runs for 12 episodes.
The story follows Nam Da Reum (Kim Hye Jun), a devoted fan who has supported idol Lee Chan (Cha Woo Min) of the group D.N.X for over a decade. She joins a fashion startup called Appello, not for the job but because her bias works there as a director. Things get complicated when she discovers that the company’s CEO, Kang Ha Gi (Kang Hoon), is the man she once attacked while protecting her idol.
A love triangle develops as Kang Ha Gi mistakes her efforts at work as affection toward him, while Lee Chan thinks her uncomfortable behavior means she dislikes him. This marks the first romantic comedy for all three lead actors. ITZY’s Yuna also appears in a supporting role.
Flex X Cop Season 2 – Premieres August 7 on SBS and Disney+
Flex X Cop Season 2 returns on August 7. The action-comedy airs every Friday and Saturday on SBS in South Korea and streams on Disney+ and Hulu for international viewers.
Ahn Bo Hyun reprises his role as Jin Yi Soo, the wealthy chaebol heir who has now fully embraced life as a detective after completing formal police academy training. He returns to the violent crimes unit ready to prove he deserves his badge.

Also arriving on August 7 is Our Sticky Love, a romantic comedy streaming globally on Netflix. All episodes drop simultaneously on premiere day.
Jung Hae In stars as Jang Tae Ha, an ex-youth boxing champion who once led a life as a gang member and now coaches boxing in a small rural community. Ha Young plays Go Eun Sae, a determined prosecutor aiming to take down a criminal syndicate.
When Eun Sae suffers a car accident resulting in amnesia, she loses all memories of herself. Tae Ha recognizes her as his first love. Suspecting that the syndicate might still be pursuing her, he pretends to be her boyfriend and protects her. What starts as a lie develops into a funny pretend dating story that eventually transforms into real feelings of mutual love.
Director Kim Jang Han, known for My Demon, describes the series as a story about building love that binds two people together. The show runs for 12 episodes.
A Trap Called Desire – Premieres August 10 on KBS2

Jang Seo Hee, known as the “daily drama queen,” takes on the role of Joo Mi Ran, the show’s main antagonist. Mi Ran is portrayed as a calculating, ruthless, and manipulative woman driven entirely by her own ambitions.
OK! Let’s Get Divorced – Premieres August 19 on KBS2
OK! Let’s Get Divorced premieres on August 19 at 11 PM KST. The series airs every Wednesday and Thursday on KBS2 and streams on Wavve.
Lee Min Jung stars as Baek Mi Young, and Kim Ji Seok plays Ji Won Ho. Together, they own and operate a successful wedding gown company called G & White. Mi Young lost her parents at an early age and lived a hectic life working hard until she met her soul mate, who was also a gifted designer of wedding gowns.
The two were in a happy marriage and a flourishing business. However, seven years later, they decide to end their marriage as a means of escaping their increasingly stressful relationship. In the process of getting divorced, they have to find a way to save their business, creating moments of both fun and sadness.
Lee Min Jung shared that she was drawn to the realistic story of people searching for who they truly are and what true love really means. She studied wedding dresses and drew on the experiences of people who had worked as co-CEOs of wedding dress companies to prepare for the role.
New Recruit Season 4 – Premieres August 24 on ENA
New Recruit Season 4 premieres on August 24 at 10 PM KST. The military comedy-drama airs every Monday and Tuesday on ENA and streams on Genie TV in South Korea.
The series follows a recruit from a privileged background dropped into a unit full of mismatched personalities. In Season 4, Park Min Seok (Kim Min Ho) finally receives a long-awaited promotion to corporal, which brings additional duties and obligations.
Three things shake up his quiet stretch of senior military life: Choi Il Gu (Nam Tae Woo) returning as a staff sergeant, a new recruit nobody can read, and a new battalion commander. The arrival of a strict new battalion commander causes disruption in the usual atmosphere of the barracks. A new recruit brings even more problems into the already chaotic unit, creating rivalry and conflict.
Kim Dong Jun returns as Jeon Se Gye, the soldier who has adapted a little too well to army life, and Oh Dae Hwan is back as company commander Jo Baek Ho. Kim Yo Han returns as Moon Bit Nari, who now has a junior of his own to deal with.
Two new cast members join the lineup: Lee Hyun Gyun plays Battalion Commander Byun Hyuk Jin, who arrives pushing an “advanced barracks” agenda, and Lee Won Jung plays Kim Hyun Wook, the capable but hard-to-place new recruit.
