The Insidious franchise is taking a sharp turn with its sixth installment. The final trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further has arrived, and it shows something the series has never done before — demons from The Further breaking into our world permanently. What the Final Trailer Shows

Gemma lives in the house she grew up in, raising her young daughter, when she discovers she can enter The Further — the dark realm of lost souls that has been central to the Insidious universe since the first film.
But here is where things get dangerous. Gemma does not just visit The Further. She can bring what lives there back with her. Once the demons figure out she has this ability, they start using her as a doorway into the living world. The trailer shows Gemma seeing strange figures at her dental clinic, in her neighborhood, and in her home — beings that do not look human at all.
Lin Shaye returns as Elise Rainier, the paranormal investigator who has guided characters through the franchise since the beginning. In the trailer, Elise tells Gemma that while she never thought this was possible, Gemma can not only enter The Further but also pull demons out of it.
