A Cincinnati traffic reporter has become an internet sensation after a live car crash interrupted his broadcast. KJ Jacobs was giving a routine traffic update on August 6, 2026, when two vehicles collided right behind him on camera. His unfiltered reaction, caught on live television, has now been viewed over five million times online.
The Moment That Shocked Everyone
Jacobs was reporting on the slow traffic conditions on I-71 at Gilbert Avenue in Cincinnati for WCPO 9 News when the accident happened. A live traffic feed showed a car stopped between the highway lanes and an on-ramp. As Jacobs spoke, another vehicle drove off the on-ramp and crashed straight into the back of the stopped car.
The anchor’s reaction was immediate and raw. He said, “Oh, sh*t” on camera, before quickly catching himself. He immediately apologized, saying, “Oh, I’m so sorry. Literally just watched the crash happen in real time”.
Jacobs then added with a small chuckle, “And I almost said something inappropriate”. He then continued with his traffic report as if nothing had happened.
