Disney’s D23 2026 event is bringing big Marvel news, and one of the most talked-about reveals so far is the first proper look at White Vision’s suit for the upcoming Disney+ series ‘VisionQuest.’ Photos from the event floor are already making rounds online, giving fans a clear view of what Paul Bettany will wear when he returns as the android Avenger.
The display at D23 also includes concept art showing a mysterious figure surrounded by flames. That image has fans guessing whether Marvel’s original Human Torch, Jim Hammond, could finally be making his way into the MCU. The D23 event runs from August 14 through August 16, and Marvel’s panel is set for Friday.
White Vision’s Suit Stays True to Its ‘WandaVision’ Look
The new suit shown at D23 keeps the same all-white design that fans saw when White Vision flew away at the end of ‘WandaVision’. The costume is mostly white, matching the character’s name, and it looks a lot like the version from the 2021 series.
There are some small updates, though. The chest piece now has white-gold coloring, and the same gold highlights appear on the belt, boots, and gauntlets. The overall design remains very close to what viewers already know, with only minor changes to the details.
This all-white look is a big change from the classic red, blue, green, and yellow colors that Vision has worn in the comics and earlier MCU movies. The character lost his color when Thanos took the Mind Stone from his head in ‘Avengers: Infinity War,’ and his body stayed that way when S.W.O.R.D. rebuilt him. The White Vision version gained back his memories during the ‘WandaVision’ finale and flew off on his own.
Mysterious Fiery Figure Sparks Jim Hammond Speculation
Alongside the suit display, the D23 exhibition floor shows concept art of a figure covered in flames standing in what looks like a burning room or town. Fans and news sites are pointing out that the design on the character’s chest and shoulders looks a lot like the costume worn by Jim Hammond, Marvel’s original Human Torch, in the comics.
Jim Hammond first appeared in Marvel Comics #1 back in October 1939. He was a synthetic human created by Professor Phineas T. Horton and later became a member of The Invaders during World War II. If this character does show up in ‘VisionQuest,’ it would connect the series to some of Marvel’s earliest comic book history.
Some fans have also pointed out that ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ included a small nod to the original Human Torch. Howard Stark’s World Exposition of Tomorrow had a synthetic man in a glass case, which many believe was a reference to Jim Hammond. ‘VisionQuest’ could finally turn that long-standing Easter egg into a full appearance.
The display also now includes Scarlet Witch’s costume, adding another piece to the growing collection of ‘WandaVision’-related props at D23.
Paul Bettany and James Spader Lead the Cast
Paul Bettany returns as Vision in ‘VisionQuest,’ picking up the story after the events of ‘WandaVision’. The series follows White Vision as he tries to figure out who he is and what his purpose is.
James Spader is also coming back as Ultron, marking his first return to the MCU since ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in 2015. Showrunner Terry Matalas has said that Ultron and Vision are a big part of the show’s story. Matalas explained:
“You do get to see robot Ultron, but you see a lot of James Spader and a lot of Paul Bettany together. They are very much a core dynamic of the show.”
Other cast members include Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff (also known as Speed), T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S. , and Todd Stashwick as Paladin. Emily Hampshire joins as a human version of E.D.I.T.H. , and Orla Brady plays F.R.I.D.A.Y. in human form.

‘VisionQuest’ Premieres on Disney+ This October
‘VisionQuest’ is set to debut on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. The series will have eight episodes and is being described as the third and final part of the ‘WandaVision’ trilogy, following ‘Agatha All Along’.
The show will stream on Disney+ in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, and other regions where the platform is available. Viewers around the world will be able to watch the series on the same date.
Paul Bettany has talked about what fans can expect from the show. He said the series is “funny,” “moving,” and “super exciting”. He also shared that the story deals with deeper themes:
“It is about lots of things, and it’s super exciting, but in the same way that WandaVision was about grief, it’s sort of about intergenerational trauma. It’s about fathers and sons and denial of pain and denial of your own truth and coming to terms with who and what you are and what you could be.”
The first teaser trailer for ‘VisionQuest’ is expected to be released online after its debut at the D23 panel on Friday. Fans attending the event or following along online are waiting for the first footage to drop.
