Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 10 arrived on August 30, 2026, turning Rudeus Greyrat’s search for a cure into one of the season’s biggest fights so far. Titled “An Audience with an Immortal Demon King,” the episode takes Rudeus and his companions to the Demon Continent. What starts as a hopeful mission to save Nanahoshi from Dryne Syndrome quickly becomes a deadly confrontation with the Immortal Demon King Atoferatofe Rybak.
The episode features returning voice actors Yumi Uchiyama as Rudeus, Ryota Osaka as Cliff, and Satoshi Tsuruoka as Zanoba. Nanako Mori makes her appearance as the terrifying Atoferatofe. The group’s trip to the Demon Continent begins with a surprisingly useful encounter, but things take a dangerous turn when they attract the attention of a demon king who has been alive for over 5,000 years.
Kishirika’s Bargain Sets the Cure in Motion
The episode starts with Kishirika Kishirisu acting overly generous after receiving a present from Cliff. She says she will grant a single wish, and Cliff immediately asks for help regarding Nanahoshi’s illness. Kishirika provides a surprise by saying an easy cure exists: drinking Sokas grass as tea will flush out the disease. The original author, Rifujin na Magonote, even tweeted about the “poop” cure, referencing Nanahoshi’s earlier complaint in episode 9 about not having nails grow or periods, which fans now see as a clever setup.
The only catch is that the plant is found beneath the castles of demon kings. Kishirika explains that the place where Sokas grass grows has “disappeared,” but she has ordered each demon king to cultivate it in the basements of their castles. So the grass is available at Kishirika’s old castle. Just as the group digests this interesting situation, demons show up and arrest Kishirika as she angered the king of the demons. Rudeus uses magic to restrain Kishirika and hands her over, but then Rudeus is granted an audience with Atofe.
Atofe’s Demand Turns Into a Full-Scale Battle
Having arrived at the castle, the group immediately notices that the throne seems to be empty. Suddenly, a female demon appears from the entrance, acting strangely and introducing herself as Atoferatofe, the demon king, which renders her guards visibly anxious. Being very proud of capturing Kishirika, the demon king offers Rudeus a permanent position in the king’s guard. Atofe becomes interested in Rudeus and offers him a place in her royal guard.
Rudeus refuses because joining her would mean abandoning the people waiting for him back home. That answer is enough to turn an awkward meeting into a full-blown confrontation. Rudeus’ refusal to abandon his family leads to Atoferatofe’s furious reaction. The situation subsequently develops into a climax, making this moment unforgettable in the episode. Despite being warned not to accept any reward, Rudeus declines Atofe’s offer, which enrages her.
The fight quickly proves that Atofe is operating on a completely different level. She is loud, aggressive, and frighteningly confident, while her long history as a warrior makes it clear that she is not someone the group can simply outsmart and walk away from.
Zanoba Proves He Is Far Stronger Than He Looks
As soon as the fight begins, Zanoba throws Kishirika at Atofe and then grabs the demon king in a bone-crushing grip. Her strength is visibly greater, forcing Kishirika to bleed from the mouth despite her immortal nature. Zanoba manages to grab and restrain her through sheer physical strength, giving Rudeus and the others a chance to fight back. Even then, putting Atofe down is nearly impossible because she is immortal and has spent thousands of years fighting. Elinalise aids him in the pursuit but cannot replicate the damage done by the heavyweight fighter’s fists.
After subduing Atofe, Rudeus faces her advisor Moore, a powerful magician who can blind any spell sent his way. Moore can interfere with Rudeus’ magic, forcing him to change his approach. Rudeus is eventually left with no choice but to use a wild lightning bolt that manages to knock Moore back as well. Rudeus eventually uses a powerful area attack to create an opening and help Cliff escape, showing just how far he has come as a fighter. Fans are showering Zanoba with praise, calling him the MVP of the episode.
Perugius Arrives to Settle the Score
At the point things appear bleak, Cliff manages to get to the teleportation tunnel and encounters Perugius, who has become aware of the invasion into his realm. Without wasting time, the dragon approaches Atofe. Perugius exchanges some words with Atofe and commands dragons from his army to attack Atofe. The dragons are very powerful and easily destroy Atofe but cannot kill her. Perugius shows some insane levels of power and one-shots someone that was proving to be a major pain for the main cast to deal with.
King Atofe is immortal, so Perugius can’t kill her. Even if he could, there is a pact between Perugius and King Atofe’s husband, the founder of the North-God style, Kalman Rubak. This pact seems to be regarding not going to war with one another. However, to aid Rudeus and Nanahoshi by extension, he does split King Atofe in half and send her flying – which he presents as not breaking the pact. Ultimately giving him, his familiars, as well as Rudeus and his crew, more than enough time to leave leisurely.
Now that the battle is over, Rudeus and the others are able to get the grass which they need to prepare the cure. Kishirika decides to stay with the creatures she made friends with. The episode ends on a note of relief as Rudeus celebrates the successful mission. With the closing title card teasing a major shift ahead, the episode leaves fans wondering what comes next.

Perugius’s timely arrival also drew cheers, with many noting that without him, Rudeus might have been forced into servitude. The episode featured a long-awaited battle scene, and viewers were thrilled to see high-level mages clash. The use of the demon language, with subtitles always on screen, added to the immersion. Perugius’s refusal to speak demon language also sparked speculation about his relationship with Atofe.
