The Korean Business Research Institute has released its actor brand reputation rankings for September 2026. Go Youn Jung claimed the number one spot, pushing veteran actor So Ji Sub to second place in this month’s rankings.
The rankings were determined through a detailed analysis of data collected from various activities of actors appearing in dramas, films, and OTT content. A total of 100 actors and actresses were evaluated based on their performances between July 25 and August 25, 2026. The institute measured several indicators, including media coverage, consumer participation, interaction levels, and community activity.
Go Youn Jung Takes the Top Spot
Go Youn Jung secured first place with a brand reputation index of 4,724,038, the highest score among all 100 actors and actresses evaluated. Her rise to the top shows her growing influence in the Korean entertainment industry. She recently won Best Actress (OTT) at the 2026 Brand of the Year Awards.
So Ji Sub followed closely in second place with a score of 4,526,298, just about 197,000 points behind the leader. So Ji Sub had previously topped the July 2026 drama actor brand reputation rankings.
Yoon Kyung Ho came in third with a brand reputation index of 4,139,913. He was followed by Jung Hae In in fourth place with 4,025,781 points. The competition at the top remained tight, with Jung Hae In trailing Yoon Kyung Ho by only about 114,000 points.
Kim Moo Yul completed the top five with a score of 3,654,950. Kim Moo Yul also won the Actor category at the 2026 Brand of the Year Awards.

Alongside the actor rankings, the Korean Business Research Institute also published the September 2026 advertising model brand reputation rankings. BTS took first place with a brand reputation index of 3,932,230, marking a 10.70 percent increase from August.
RESCENE jumped to second place with 3,427,885 points, showing the biggest rise among the top five with a 118.01 percent increase. Lim Young Woong came in third with 1,648,327, followed by Yoo Jae Suk in fourth and IVE in fifth.
The top 10 was completed by BLACKPINK at No. 6, Park Ji Hoon at No. 7, Kim Do Young at No. 8, Byeon Woo Seok at No. 9, and Go Youn Jung at No. 10.
The institute analyzed 34,915,880 pieces of advertising model-related big data collected from August 3 to September 3, 2026. This marked a 0.27 percent decrease compared to the previous month’s data volume of 35,009,082.
For BTS, the institute’s link analysis revealed high-ranking terms including “hot,” “certify,” and “confident,” while keywords strongly associated with the group included “ARMY,” “Arirang,” and “Billboard”. BTS also recorded a positive sentiment score of 93.09 percent.
“According to the big data analysis of the September 2026 advertising model brand reputation, the BTS brand ranked first,” said Koo Chang Hwan, director of the Korean Business Research Institute.
Other celebrities in the top 20 included PSY, Son Heung Min, Lee Jung Hoo, Park Jin Young, Gong Yoo, Lee Chan Won, BIBI, and Kim Go Eun.
