Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, made a surprising revelation about his sexuality during a recent podcast appearance. The 56-year-old told host Luke Beasley that he is “only a little bit” gay and even put a number on it – 48.5 percent.
The conversation happened on the August 16 episode of “The Luke Beasley Show”. Beasley, who is openly gay, started the episode by sharing his own sexuality. When he asked Biden directly if he was gay, Biden replied, “Only a little bit”.
Beasley pushed further and asked whether Biden was “more or less than 50 percent” gay. Biden answered, “48.6 percent”. The number kept changing throughout the nearly 90-minute interview.

Near the end of the podcast, Biden said, “I just wanted to let you know that I am back up to 48.5 percent gay”.
Biden Says He Prefers More Masculine Types
The conversation about sexuality continued when Beasley asked Biden if he would be his type. Biden did not hold back.
“No, a little bit more masculine would be my type, if I was gay.” – Hunter Biden
Beasley later showed Biden an AI-generated picture showing the two men in a close embrace. Biden joked, “Oh Jesus Christ, I don’t know. I just, it all is coming back to me. I was in a stupor at that point. I think that was pre-2019 when I got sober”.
A Running Joke Throughout the Interview
The sexuality topic became a running joke that continued through the entire podcast. Biden kept returning to what he called “the gay question”. The remarks were made as part of a comedic exchange rather than a formal announcement about his sexual orientation.
Biden’s Previous Comments About Closeted Politicians
This is not the first time Hunter Biden has spoken publicly about sexuality. During a July 18 appearance on the “I’ve Had It” podcast, he claimed that there is a “closeted gay mafia, largely Republican” operating in Washington, D.C..

Social Media Reaction
The comments quickly spread across social media platforms. Some users mocked Biden for putting an exact percentage on his sexuality. Others questioned the seriousness of his remarks given his history of addiction and recovery.
Biden has been open about his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. He marked seven years of sobriety in June.
