Apple TV+’s dystopian series Silo wrapped up its third season on September 4, 2026, with a finale that left viewers with many questions. The episode, titled “Troy,” delivered major twists and a post-credits scene that has fans talking about what comes next in the show’s final chapter.

The third season of Silo ran for 10 episodes, premiering on July 3, 2026, with new episodes releasing every Friday. The series, starring Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols, has been renewed for a fourth and final season, expected to arrive in Summer 2027.

What Happened in the Silo Season 3 Finale

The finale revealed that Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman), a character shown in the past timeline, survived the destruction of the old world. He was taken into Silo 1 and put into cryogenic sleep. When he wakes up, he is no longer Daniel. He has become Troy, a specialist who works for Victor (Matt Craven).

Troy is awakened from cryosleep whenever there is a crisis in one of the other silos. His memories have been suppressed, but he still gets flashes of a woman named Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick). Every time Troy asks Victor about Helen, Victor puts him back to sleep without giving him answers.

In the present timeline, Juliette continues her fight against the system controlling Silo 18. Camille appears to follow orders to stop the rebellion, but she secretly helps Juliette. Victor, who has been the voice behind the system, realizes that Camille has fooled him. With Silo 18 now beyond his control, he records a video message for Troy before taking his own life.

In the video, Victor tells Troy the name of the woman he keeps seeing in his visions: Helen Drew. Hearing her name starts bringing Daniel’s buried memories back to the surface. With Victor dead, Troy is now in charge of Silo 1.

The Post-Credits Scene Explained

The post-credits scene at the end of the season shows Juliette coming across Troy. Juliette points a gun at Troy and asks him about his identity. Troy tells her that he does not know who he is.

This scene has led many fans to believe that Troy could become a key ally for Juliette in the final season. Since Troy is now beginning to remember his past as Daniel, and he has an agenda to bring down Silo 1, he might help Juliette dismantle it from the inside.

Showrunner Graham Yost explained that the team wanted to lean forward into the next season with this ending. He told TheWrap:

“What that did was it gave us a sense of leaning forward into the next season, so we felt like, ‘What if the final episode of this season is really leaning forward into next season?’ We felt that by bringing them together on the timeline at the end of Season 3, then the audience knows this is where we’re going. It’s this person versus this person.”

Could Troy and Juliette Join Forces?

The finale sets up a possible alliance between Troy and Juliette. Juliette has made it clear that her next move is to find Silo 1 and take the fight directly to the people controlling them. Troy, now in charge of Silo 1 and beginning to remember his past, might have reasons to help her.

Fan speculations have already started after the finale. Many viewers have pointed out the post-credits scene, which shows a vulnerable side of Troy. One fan even speculated that Juliette might be Daniel and Helen’s daughter.

Yost previously indicated that the final season will bring answers to “pretty much all the mysteries”.
