Salman Khan has officially entered the world of YouTube. The Bollywood superstar launched his personal channel, Being The Salman Khan, on October 9, 2026, giving fans a direct way to connect with him beyond films and television. The channel arrived with 10 YouTube Shorts and crossed 14,000 subscribers within the first hour of the announcement.
The launch was announced through a playful video on Instagram, where Salman recited the alphabet to hint at the variety of content coming to the platform. “Shuru se shuru karte hain… Mera official YouTube channel. A se Z tak sab yahan milega,” he wrote on Instagram, which translates to: “Let’s start from the beginning. My official YouTube channel—you’ll find everything here, from A to Z”.
What the YouTube Channel Offers
Being The Salman Khan is not a typical celebrity vlog. The channel is built around short, light-hearted videos that turn Salman Khan’s famous on-screen mannerisms into playful acting lessons. In the first video, Salman appears in two roles: one as an experienced acting and personality coach, and the other as a beginner student learning his signature body language, dialogue delivery, and screen presence.
The channel bio keeps things simple and personal. It reads: “Film actor. Artist. Painter. Humanitarian. This is my official channel”. At launch, the profile featured 10 YouTube Shorts that offer a candid, humorous look at the qualities that have defined his screen image for decades.
Salman Khan Clarifies the Content Is for Children
Days after the launch, Salman Khan shared a message on X (formerly Twitter) thanking viewers and clarifying who the content is really for. He wrote:
“Thank u for watching my YouTube Channel, I understand that the content is not for u yet but u also get it that it’s for your little ones.”
He further explained his vision behind the channel:
“Let’s see how this pans out, thodi si masti ke saath pyaar aur family ke saath education bhi zaruri hai bacchon ke liye. Haina?”
The message underlined his plan to blend entertainment, love, and education for children, while keeping the content accessible to families. This marked a shift from what adult fans might usually expect from the actor, showing his willingness to try a different format.
Subscriber Growth and Early Reactions
The response to Being The Salman Khan has been quick. The channel crossed 14,000 subscribers within an hour of its announcement and grew to over 31,000 subscribers shortly after. By October 10, 2026, reports showed the channel had reached 36.3K subscribers. The rapid growth highlighted Salman Khan’s massive fanbase across India and around the world.
This Is Not Salman Khan’s First YouTube Venture
Salman Khan already has a presence on YouTube. In 2020, he launched Salman Khan Films Music, a channel that now has nearly three million subscribers. That platform features songs from his films and independent music released during the COVID-19 pandemic. Salman also tried his hand at singing during that period, releasing tracks like Pyaar Karona and Tere Bina.
The new channel, Being The Salman Khan, takes a different approach. It focuses on his personality, acting style, and direct engagement with viewers, rather than music or film promotions.
Salman Khan Joins a Growing List of Bollywood Stars on YouTube
Salman Khan is among several Bollywood celebrities who have turned to YouTube to connect with audiences beyond the big screen. Actors like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Shilpa Shetty Kundra have all built their own channels on the platform.
Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has found major success on YouTube with celebrity cooking vlogs, growing her channel to over 3.2 million subscribers since launching in 2024. In the South Indian film industry, stars like Allu Arjun and Mohanlal also maintain active YouTube channels. Television personalities including Dipika Kakar, Shoaib Ibrahim, and Jannat Zubair have also built audiences through lifestyle videos and vlogs.
