On July 23, JTBC News reported that Park Min Young would be starring in the remake of Japanese drama, Confidence Man.
According to the report, Confidence Man tells the story of a team of vigilantes that steal and fraud criminals out of money ala Robinhood. Park Min Young is reported to be playing a credit fraudster.

Netizens reacted to the news with many stating the obvious irony of her role given that the actress had dated one of Korea’s biggest scammers. Previously, the actress was exposed for dating Kang Jong Hyun, a cryptocurrency scammer who defrauded the bank and has ties to gangsters.
