Actor Apologizes for Character’s Affair in Popular K-Drama
In response to mounting criticism, actor Ji Seung Hyun has publicly apologized for his role in the ongoing SBS drama ‘Good Partner‘. His portrayal of Kim Ji Sang, a character involved in an affair, has sparked significant backlash from viewers.
Ji Seung Hyun’s character, Kim Ji Sang, has become a focal point of controversy due to his unfaithful actions within the drama. In his apology, Ji Seung Hyun expressed deep regret for the distress caused by his character’s behavior.
“I am truly sorry for my role as Kim Ji Sang. I sincerely apologize to Jang Na Ra, who portrays Cha Eun Kyung, and to Han Jae Yi, who plays Choi Sa Ra. I also extend my apologies to the viewers who were hurt by this portrayal. I understand that this reaction is due to the impact of my performance,” Ji Seung Hyun stated.
‘Good Partner’ premiered on July 12, and has been directed by Kim Ga Ram, known for previous works such as Nevertheless, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, and Vampire Detective. The script for the drama is penned by Choi Yoo Na.
The drama follows the dynamics between Cha Eun Kyung, a seasoned divorce lawyer played by Jang Na Ra, and Han Yu Ri, a rookie lawyer portrayed by Nam Ji Hyun. Their professional partnership evolves as they navigate various challenges and personal growth.
Kim Jun Han appears as Jung Woo Jin, the head of the divorce lawyers’ team, characterized by his kind and logical approach. P.O. takes on the role of Jeon Eun Ho, a bright and dedicated mentor to Han Yu Ri.
