"Undercover High School" Stars Bid Farewell and Thank Viewers After Finale

The popular MBC comedy action drama “Undercover High School” has finished its run, and its lead actors Seo Kang Jun, Jin Ki Joo, and Kim Shin Rok have shared their heartfelt thanks to the viewers who tuned in. The drama revolved around Jeong Hae Seong (Seo Kang Jun), an elite agent from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) who goes undercover as a high school student to find missing gold from Emperor Gojong’s era.

Seo Kang Jun Reflects on His Role

Seo Kang Jun, who brought the NIS agent Jeong Hae Seong to life, expressed his appreciation for the entire team.

I recall working through thick and thin with many staff members while filming. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who gave their all, from the hot summer to the cold winter, without holding back.

He also highlighted the personal significance of this project.

This project is meaningful in that I was able to showcase a new side of me following my military discharge. I was happy to meet โ€œcool guyโ€ Jeong Hae Seong, a character quite different from the ones Iโ€™ve played before, and I hope viewers remember him in the future. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who cherished Hae Seong.

Jin Ki Joo’s Gratitude for the Love Received

Jin Ki Joo, who played the teacher Oh Soo Ah, shared her feelings about the drama’s conclusion and the support she received.

I spent time gratefully as I received lots of love and support. I wanted to keep watching for a bit more, but the 12 episodes felt like they went by too quickly. Thanks to the people who looked upon Soo Ah lovingly, I think Soo Ah will continue to be happy.

She also reflected on the personal growth she experienced through her character.

Itโ€™s a project that made me slightly more of an adult. Playing a character with a strong desire to protect someone and growing stronger during filming contributed to that feeling.

Kim Shin Rok’s Thoughts on Her Villainous Role

Kim Shin Rok, who surprised viewers with her transformation into the villain Seo Myung Joo, shared her bittersweet feelings about saying goodbye to the drama.

Itโ€™s sad that โ€˜Undercover High School,โ€™ which Iโ€™ve been tuning in to for a few weeks, has finally ended. The character of Seo Myung Joo was fun while portraying and monitoring her, but I feel bittersweet now that Iโ€™m sending her off. Thank you to everyone who watched together from the first episode to the final broadcast and sent support.

“Undercover High School” aired its final episode on March 29.
