Paresh Rawal has caused confusion among fans with his recent tweet about Hera Pheri 3. The actor, who left the film last month, responded to a fan asking him to return by saying “there are three heroes” in the franchise. This has led to speculation about whether he might rejoin the movie.
The veteran actor played Baburao in the first two Hera Pheri films. His exit from the third part shocked fans and led to legal action from Akshay Kumar’s production company. Rawal has returned his signing amount with interest but fans still hope he will come back.
Rawal’s Mysterious Tweet
On June 9, a fan tweeted to Rawal:
“Sir please think Once again to join HERA FERI movie You are the hero of this movie.”
Rawal replied:
“NO … There are Three Heroes in Hera Pheri .”
This simple response created waves online. Some fans think it means he won’t return. Others believe he might be hinting at a comeback since he mentioned the three main characters.
Legal Battle Over Hera Pheri 3
Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape of Good Films sued Rawal for Rs 25 crore after he left the project. They said his sudden exit caused financial losses and schedule problems. Rawal had already filmed a teaser with Akshay and Suniel Shetty before quitting.
Rawal’s lawyer sent a formal response about his exit. The actor said once the producers read it, all issues would be resolved. He also returned his Rs 11 lakh signing amount with 15% interest. His total payment for the film was reportedly Rs 15 crore.
Suniel Shetty’s Emotional Reaction
Suniel Shetty, who plays Shyam in the films, said he was heartbroken by Rawal’s exit. He told ANI:
“It’s an absolute shock to me. I just heard the news yesterday, and I still need to call and find out what really happened. Honestly, I’m completely heartbroken because if there was one film I was truly looking forward to, it was Hera Pheri.”
Shetty added that the film wouldn’t work without Rawal’s character Baburao. He said the movie could go on without him or Akshay but not without Paresh Rawal.
Fan Theories and Reactions
Fans have come up with many theories about Rawal’s tweet. Some think his exit might be part of the movie’s plot. Others believe it’s just a way to create buzz for the film.
One fan wrote on X:
“If this is a stunt, it’s gonna work. I can’t stand the thought of my three movie dads divorcing.”
Another said:
“3?? At this point its difficult to tell if this is truth or just for pr.”
A third fan suggested:
“Lol the fg UTURN, I think that’s the plot. Hera pheri 3 will probably be based on modern time, so Shyam & Raju are probably gonna sue Baburao due to money.”*
What’s Next for Hera Pheri 3?
The film’s shooting was planned for 2026. Only a promo has been filmed so far. It’s unclear who will replace Rawal as Baburao if he doesn’t return. Some fans have suggested Pankaj Tripathi could take over the role.
Akshay Kumar recently said he wouldn’t call Rawal “foolish” as some fans have. He said they’ve been friends for 35 years and he respects Rawal as an actor. The legal matter is now in court.
