Squid Game Season 3 Finale arrives on June 27, 2025, on Netflix. This season will conclude the deadly battle between Lee Jung-jae’s Gi-hun and Lee Byung-hun’s Front Man, with higher stakes and deadlier games. Fans can expect shocking twists, emotional confrontations, and the ultimate showdown in this highly awaited finale.

Squid Game Season 3 picks up right after the devastating events of Season 2, where Gi-hun’s rebellion failed, and his best friend Jung-bae was killed by the Front Man. Gi-hun is now at his lowest point, filled with guilt and despair. Yet, the games continue, forcing him to make tough choices.

The Front Man, who secretly played as Player 001 (Young-il) in Season 2, has resumed his role as the ruthless overseer. His brother, Jun-ho (Wi Ha-jun), is still searching for the island, unaware of a traitor in his team. Meanwhile, new deadly challenges await, including a terrifying jump rope game featuring Chul-su, a male counterpart to the infamous Young-hee doll.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed that Season 3 will reveal how In-ho (Front Man) became the game’s mastermind. The season also explores deeper themes of survival and human nature, with even more intense games designed to push contestants to their limits.

“Gi-hun will not be the man he was in Season 2,” Hwang said. “He’s at a critical crossroads—will he give up or keep fighting?”

The returning cast includes Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young (No-eul), Yim Si-wan (Myung-gi), and Kang Ha-neul (Dae-ho). New characters like Park Gyeong-seok (Player 246) may also play crucial roles, with rumors suggesting he could become a pink guard.

Fans are especially curious about Jun-hee (Jo Yuri), whose pregnancy could impact the game’s outcome. A baby’s cry in the trailer hints at a dramatic storyline. The hide-and-seek game, set under a starry sky, is promised to be the most brutal yet, surpassing even Season 1’s emotional marble game.

Netflix released a new trailer of Squid Game Season 3 Finale showing Gi-hun’s struggle, the return of the VIPs, and the deadly new challenges. One scene shows Gi-hun pointing a gun at his own head, suggesting extreme desperation. Another reveals a Pink Soldier telling him, “Player 456, he wants to see you.”

“I still believe that you came here to save us all,” says Geum-ja (Kang Ae-sim) in the trailer, showing that some players still have faith in Gi-hun.

While the Squid Game Season 3 Finale is set to wrap up the series, Lee Byung-hun hinted that the story could continue if fans demand it. “Director Hwang calls it a finale, but it could also be a new start,” he said.
