Dexter then confronts Gareth’s twin brother, revealing he killed Gareth the night before. Enraged, the twin attacks Dexter, who slits his throat in “self-defense” while Prater and others watch. Dexter pins Lowell’s murder on the Gemini Killer, clearing his own name for now.
“Three birds, one stone,” Dexter’s voice-over says, referring to framing the Gemini Killer for multiple deaths.
Prater’s Dark Past and Obsession with Serial Killers
Prater, moved by Dexter’s speech, opens up about his past. As a child, he lost his parents in a car crash caused by Cooper Morris, a serial killer who later befriended him in prison. This twisted bond led Prater to collect serial killers, seeking control through their dark secrets.

Meanwhile, Angel Batista refuses to give up on proving Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher. He tracks Dexter to Blessing’s apartment, where he secretly leaves AirPods in Dexter’s car to monitor his movements. Their confrontation escalates when Dexter warns Batista to stay away from his family.
“If I really am who you think I am, this can’t possibly end well for you,” Dexter growls, dropping all pretense of friendship.
Harrison’s Future and Wallace’s Suspicion
Harrison considers a career in criminal justice, attending a lecture by Detective Wallace on the New York Ripper. Dexter, who recognizes the Ripper’s weapon in Prater’s collection, unknowingly raises Wallace’s suspicions by correcting her theory on the killer’s methods.
Who Is Dexter’s Next Victim?
