A new television series based on a real-life police investigation in France is coming to audiences this fall. The Lost Station Girls, a French true crime drama, will premiere on October 8, 2025, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. The six-part limited series tells the story of a two-decade hunt for a serial killer.
The True Story Behind the Series
The series is inspired by a true case that happened in the south of France. Between 1995 and 2001, in the city of Perpignan, a teenage girl disappeared and three other young women were murdered. All of the victims were last seen near the Perpignan train station, which led to them being referred to as “the lost station girls.” They were all brunettes and were described as being ambitious about women’s rights and emancipation.
The show follows the police’s relentless search for the person responsible, an investigation that spanned twenty years before the killer was finally brought to justice. The series aims to give a voice to the victims, who are described as “women who were free and full of life.”
Meet the Cast and Characters
The series features several well-known French actors. Camille Razat, who is widely recognized for her role in Emily in Paris, plays the lead character, Flore Robin. Flore is a novice investigator who begins her career in the police force on the very day the first victim is discovered.
She is joined by Hugo Becker (Gossip Girl) as police captain Franck Vidal, and Patrick Timsit as his mentor, Fรฉlix Sabueso. The cast also includes Mรฉlanie Doutey, Kรฉvin Azaรฏs, Ludovic Berthillot, and Yannick Choirat.
The Creative Team and Production
The Lost Station Girls was created by Gaรซlle Bellan and directed by Virginie Sauveur. The series is produced by Itinรฉraire, the same production company behind the BAFTA-nominated series Oussekine for Disney+.
Principal photography for the series began in March 2024. The production team filmed on location in the South of France, including the cities of Perpignan and Montpellier, to authentically capture the setting where the real events took place.
Kevin Deysson, the director of Disney+ original productions, explained the creator’s goal for the series, stating: > “There’s a real desire on the part of creator Gaรซlle Bellan to give visibility back to the victims [who were] women who were free and full of life,” and to discuss broader themes such as “what it was like to be a woman in our society”.
How to Watch the Series
Viewers will be able to watch The Lost Station Girls starting October 8, 2025. All six episodes of the limited series will be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. An active subscription to either streaming service is required to watch the show.
The series is part of a larger effort by Disney+ to build a catalog of adult-oriented dramas from different countries, including France, Germany, and Spain.
