On March 24, 2024, a photo uploaded by actress Kim Sae Ron featuring Kim Soo Hyun took the internet by storm. The photo, which has since been deleted, managed to garner over 4.2 million views on X (formerly Twitter), causing a resurgence of past relationship rumors between the two actors.

According to Korean media outlet 10Asia, the two actors have previously been embroiled in relationship rumors. In a 2017 interview with Ilgan Sports, Kim Sae Ron mentioned Kim Soo Hyun as her ideal acting partner.
She stated, “I have never thought about it really, and I don’t know about a rom-com, but since I was young, I’ve always mentioned Kim Soo Hyun oppa as someone I want to meet as an acting partner. I think it would be fun if we could work together. He’s a zodiac cycle apart from me. But oppa lives rather youthfully anyway. Haha.”
Controversial entertainment reporter Kim Yong Ho further fueled the rumors by claiming that the two had allegedly dated.
According to him, Seo Ye Ji and Kim Jung Hyun dated, followed by Seo Ye Ji and Kim Soo Hyun. The two met in the drama It’s Okay Not To Be Okay. Later on, it was said that Seo Ye Ji dated Kim Soo Hyun’s cousin, the director of the movie Real. Later on, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron began dating. It concluded with Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ji Hye dating after meeting in Crash Landing On You.
Interestingly, Seo Ye Ji, Kim Soo Hyun, and Kim Sae Ron were all in the same entertainment agency at one point of time. Seo Ye Ji moved to Gold Medalist in 2019, while Kim Sae Ron moved in 2020. Kim Soo Hyun has also been with Gold Medalist since 2019.
As of now, neither Kim Soo Hyun nor Kim Sae Ron have commented on the resurfaced rumors. Both actors continue to have successful careers in the South Korean entertainment industry. Kim Soo Hyun is known for his roles in dramas like “My Love from the Star” and “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” while Kim Sae Ron has made a name for herself in both film and television, with notable roles in “The Man from Nowhere” and “Hi!
