The Big Brother house has seen another dramatic shakeup with Cameron B becoming the fourth contestant to leave the show during a live eviction special on Friday, October 17, 2025. His departure followed a week of controversy that included another housemate’s removal from the game.
The eviction proceeded despite unexpected chaos earlier in the week. Housemates Sam and Nancy were initially chosen to face the public vote, but the situation took a turn when contestant George Gilbert was removed from the house. A spokesperson for Big Brother stated his removal was due to “repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour,” which followed a previous formal warning. The live eviction still went ahead, though the voting process was reset to exclude prior votes.
The Live Eviction Result
On eviction night, Cameron B faced the public vote alongside housemates Elsa and Richard. George was originally part of the line-up but was removed before the live show. After the votes were refreshed and recast, hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed that Cameron B had received the fewest votes to save.
Upon his exit, Cameron B shared his feelings about the experience. “I’m feeling good. It’s good to be out,” he said. “If you stay in, you’re with everyone again, like your adoptive family. If not, you’re seeing everyone, seeing different faces.”
In the house, Elsa was visibly elated to have survived the eviction. She told fellow housemates Teja and Feyisola that she had been planning to tell Big Brother’s voice, Marcus, that she loved him if she had stayed in the game.
A Series of Surprising Exits
Cameron B’s departure marks the fourth exit from the Big Brother 2025 house, but the journey to get there has been unpredictable.
The first shock came on the launch night itself. In a new twist, Emily, a 25-year-old political events manager, was part of a group of three housemates who had to decide among themselves who should leave. With both of her fellow housemates voting for her, Emily was sent home just hours after entering, in a backdoor eviction that never showed her leaving through the front door.
The second eviction saw Gani leave the house after receiving the fewest public votes. During his short time in the house, he shared a deeply personal story with housemate Jenny, revealing that he had been in an arranged marriage with his cousin earlier in the year after a period of exploring his bisexuality.
The most dramatic exit prior to Cameron’s was that of George Gilbert, who was removed by Big Brother production. This was not a public vote eviction but a disciplinary action. He had previously been issued a formal warning for comments made about fellow housemate Sam Ashby and was removed after further incidents.
A Major Twist and Fan Reactions
As the dust settled on Cameron B’s eviction, hosts AJ and Will announced a “game-changing twist” for the following week. They revealed that two former housemates would be re-entering the house for a second shot at the ยฃ100,000 prize.
This news was met with strong reactions from fans on social media, with some even threatening to “switch off” if certain eliminated housemates were brought back. One fan on X said, “If it is Emily & Gani that goes against everything big brother should be & I might switch off.”
The two returning housemates were later confirmed to be this season’s Emily and Farida Khalifa, who was the first evictee from the 2023 series. This twist involved a fake eviction where the person seen ‘leaving’ would actually move to a secret room alongside the two returning players.
On her return, Emily said, “Itโs just so funny. Once again, another plot twist, Iโm full of plot twists. Iโm so excited โ Iโm really raring to go. Very grateful to do it all over again โ not many people can say that!”
Farida, who expressed that she didn’t feel fulfilled after her short stint in 2023, commented, “The audience has wanted this for such a long timeโฆ Iโm doing it for the fans.” She also admitted she was worried current housemates might see her as a threat because of her confident nature.
Behind the Scenes of the House
While the on-screen drama unfolds, there is a whole world the audience doesn’t see. Host AJ Odudu gave fans a tour of the hidden parts of the house on TikTok, revealing some surprising details.
She showed the multi-door process housemates must go through to reach the iconic Diary Room chair, which is surrounded by numerous cameras and microphones. AJ also revealed a “secret smoking area,” a small outdoor room not shown on TV, where housemates can request more cigarettes.
Perhaps the most surprising revelation was about the bathroom situation. AJ confirmed the house has only two toilets, which have “no windows and no ventilation.” Each toilet is equipped with a camera and a microphone, a fact that left many fans questioning the setup. One person reacted online by asking, “Why is there camera in toilet?” while another expressed frustration about the lack of ventilation.
However, the camera presence in private areas serves a purpose for production. As one commenter explained, “Cameras are in Big Brother bathrooms for contestant safety, to prevent secret meetings and game talk, and to record anything suspicious. Although there are cameras, footage is rarely aired.”
Earlier Controversy and Warnings
The week leading up to the eviction was already tense due to other incidents. Housemate Caroline received a warning from Big Brother after comments made towards Zelah and Nancy.
During a game, Caroline made remarks about Zelah’s gender identity, which left Zelah in tears in the Diary Room. Zelah confided in Big Brother, saying, “I didn’t think it would affect me that much. That’s why I didn’t want to tell anyone from the get go, because once people know their true perceptions come out. But ‘she’s a girl’ was strong.”
Caroline later profusely apologized, telling Big Brother she was “ashamed” of her comments and had no excuses for her behaviour.
Big Brother continues to air Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
