The weekend brings the next two episodes of the popular Korean drama Typhoon Family, moving the story into its final act. Episodes 13 and 14 are set to arrive on Saturday, November 22, and Sunday, November 23, 2025. The series, starring Lee Jun-ho and Kim Min-ha, airs on the Korean channel tvN at 9:10 PM Korea Standard Time (KST). For international audiences, the episodes are available for streaming on Netflix shortly after their domestic broadcast.
The show follows the journey of Kang Tae-poong, a once-carefree young man who must take over his late father’s small trading company during the severe 1997 Asian financial crisis. He works alongside the diligent company bookkeeper, Oh Mi-seon, to navigate relentless business challenges and save the company from collapse.
Release schedule and how to watch
For viewers in South Korea, new episodes air on tvN on Saturday and Sunday nights. The release schedule for the upcoming episodes is consistent with the show’s regular pattern.
International viewers can watch the drama with multiple subtitle options on Netflix. A subscription is required to stream the series. The episodes are added to the platform soon after they finish airing on Korean television, making them accessible to a global audience at nearly the same time.
A recap of the fiery cliffhanger
The previous episode ended with a dangerous situation that sets the stage for the new installments. Tae-poong and his team at Typhoon Trading successfully won a crucial government contract to supply surgical gloves. However, their victory was short-lived.
Their rival, Baek-ho, and his son Hyun-jun, who have been trying to destroy Typhoon Trading, orchestrated a sabotage. A warehouse where the company’s glove shipment was stored was deliberately set on fire. To make matters worse, Oh Mi-seon was trapped inside the locked building as the flames spread. The episode concluded with Tae-poong breaking into the burning warehouse to rescue her, leaving her fate momentarily unknown.
Plot expectations for episodes 13 and 14
With the warehouse fire and the damaging of their crucial product supply, Tae-poong and his team face their most severe setback yet. The preview for the upcoming episodes shows Tae-poong taking decisive action. He files a report with the authorities over the incident and salvages whatever glove boxes survived the fire, personally checking each one for usability.
The conflict with Baek-ho is set to intensify. In preview clips, a furious Tae-poong confronts the rival, grabbing him by the collar and making a firm promise.
He warns him that even if it costs his life, Typhoon Trading will not be toppled.
Meanwhile, Mi-seon will be working actively to control the damage from the fire and help Tae-poong uncover the truth about a mysterious promissory note, a document from the company’s past that could hold important secrets. Another character, Cha Seon-taek, is shown grappling with overwhelming guilt for her actions against the company, suggesting possible internal shifts.
A drama rooted in historical struggle
Typhoon Family is set against the backdrop of the very real 1997 International Monetary Fund (IMF) crisis that severely impacted South Korea’s economy. The drama portrays the human side of this national financial turmoil, showing the resilience of small business owners and employees fighting for survival. The series has been praised for its thoughtful blend of historical context, emotional character journeys, and a touch of romance.
The show has consistently performed well in its television ratings, with episode 12 reaching a new series high. This indicates a growing audience invested in the fate of Typhoon Trading and its employees as the story nears its conclusion.
