The holiday season is in full swing, and Netflix is delivering a fresh sleigh-load of original Christmas movies to stream. The platform has scheduled a new film for each Wednesday in November and December, offering stories of second chances, Parisian romance, festive heists, and secret Santas to light up your screen.

A Merry Little Ex-Mas

The festive rollout began on November 12 with A Merry Little Ex-Mas. The film stars Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson as a recently separated couple, Kate and Everett. They plan one last perfect Christmas for their children in the family home before Kate sells it and they officially part ways. Their carefully arranged holiday takes a chaotic turn when Everett unexpectedly shows up with his new, younger, and highly successful girlfriend, Tess, played by Jameela Jamil. Melissa Joan Hart co-stars as Kate’s best friend, April, who witnesses the comedic unraveling of their plans.

The movie quickly found its audience, securing the number two spot on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies list with 12.8 million views in its first week. Directed by Steve Carr, the film explores themes of second chances and the complicated nature of family during the holidays.

Champagne Problems

On November 19, Netflix released Champagne Problems, which promptly bubbled up to the number one position on the service’s English films list with 20.5 million views. The film features Minka Kelly as Sydney Price, a driven American executive sent to France to acquire a renowned champagne house for her company just before Christmas.

Her business-focused trip takes an unexpected detour when she meets a charming Parisian, Henri Cassell, played by Tom Wozniczka. After a magical night together, Sydney is shocked to discover that Henri is the son of the very champagne founder she is trying to negotiate with. The movie, directed by Mark Steven Johnson, serves as a romantic escape to the snowy streets of Paris during the most wonderful time of the year.

Jingle Bell Heist

Premiering on November 26, Jingle Bell Heist offers a different kind of holiday thrill. This festive caper stars Olivia Holt as Sophia, a sharp-witted retail worker, and Connor Swindells as Nick, a down-on-his-luck repairman. Both are small-time thieves who independently target the same luxurious London department store for a Christmas Eve robbery.

Forced into an uneasy partnership to pull off the score, they see their planโ€”and their budding relationshipโ€”jeopardized as secrets come to the surface and genuine feelings begin to develop. Directed by Michael Fimognari, the film blends holiday cheer with nail-biting tension and a dash of romance.

My Secret Santa

The final new original holiday film for 2025, My Secret Santa, arrives on December 3. The heartwarming rom-com features Alexandra Breckenridge as Taylor, a single mom in desperate need of a job to fund her daughter’s ski lessons. She seizes an opportunity by applying to be the seasonal Santa at a luxury ski resort, a role that is only open to male applicants.

Disguising herself as a man to get the position, Taylor thinks her plan is working perfectly until she meets and starts to fall for the hotel’s manager, played by Ryan Eggold. Directed by Mike Rohl, the movie explores how love can unexpectedly disrupt even the best-laid plans.
