The first full trailer for The Night Manager Season 2 has arrived, pulling Jonathan Pine back into a dangerous world of spies and arms dealers. After almost a decade, Tom Hiddleston returns as the former hotel manager turned MI6 agent for a new six-part season. The series will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK on January 1, 2026, before launching globally on Prime Video on January 11, 2026. The new story finds Pine living under an alias, only to be drawn into a fresh conspiracy centered in Colombia.
What The New Season Is About
Season 2 picks up eight years after the events of the first season. Jonathan Pine is no longer in the glamorous world of luxury hotels. He is now living in London under the name Alex Goodwin, working a quiet job running a low-level MI6 surveillance unit. His calm life ends when he spots a mercenary from Richard Roper’s old network. This sighting pulls him into a violent confrontation with a new figure: Teddy Dos Santos, a powerful Colombian businessman played by Diego Calva.
At the direction of Angela Burr, played again by Olivia Colman, Pine must take on a new fake identity to infiltrate Dos Santos’s world. His mission leads him to Colombia and into the path of Roxana Bolaรฑos, a sharp businesswoman portrayed by Camila Morrone, who becomes his reluctant guide. Pine finds himself deep in a plot involving arms deals and the training of a guerrilla army, racing to stop a conspiracy that aims to destabilize an entire nation.
“I think I felt I had unfinished business with this role,” said Tom Hiddleston about returning. “Some fire has been lit in his heart and in his soul, which will not be extinguishedโฆ Where does he go now?”.

Georgi Banks-Davies directs all six episodes. Filming took place over several months in 2024 across multiple countries, including the UK, Colombia, Spain, and France.
“Heโs taken whatโs on the page and given it an extra dimension,” Tom Hiddleston said about working with Diego Calva. Of Camila Morrone, he added, “Camilaโs performance is so instinctive and has a magnetism; itโs very fiery and unpredictable”.
The release of the trailer confirms that the long wait is nearly over. Jonathan Pine’s next chapter takes him from the shadows of London to the heart of a Colombian conflict, where trust is scarce and every alliance could be a trap.
