The undercover mission at Hanmin Securities hits a major turning point in Episodes 3 and 4 of Undercover Miss Hong. Posing as the rookie assistant Hong Jang-mi, investigator Hong Keum-bo uses her skills to prevent a major financial scandal but nearly gets fired in the process. Her actions put a spotlight on the corrupt trading team and create new dangers in her search for the secret “Yehppee” ledger.

These new episodes, which premiered on Netflix on January 24 and 25, 2026, deepen the office intrigue and raise the personal stakes. Keum-bo must navigate her tricky reunion with her ex-love, now company president Shin Jung-woo, while her new dorm friends become unexpected allies in her secret investigation.

A Three-Day Software Miracle And A Suspicious Trade

The pressure builds in the Risk Management office. Team leader Oh Yong-gi introduces a critical project: building a new international intranet system for the company. In a bold move to prove her worth, Jang-mi declares her team can develop the complex software in just three days.

Against all odds, she delivers. The system is successfully in place after the tight deadline, a feat that should solidify her position. However, her attention is quickly pulled to a more immediate threat. While helping with office tasks, she witnesses a trader from the Hanmin trading team attempting to illegally dump a massive number of shares in Hanye Electronics at “limit down,” a move designed to crash the stock price.

Acting on instinct and her financial expertise, Jang-mi jumps into action. She immediately calls the Korea Exchange to report the activity and cancel the fraudulent sell order placed at 11:27 AM. This quick thinking prevents what could have been a major market scandal, but it makes her a target. Her intervention directly implicates the head of the trading team, Director So, and exposes the corrupt practices within his department.

The Fallout And Fight To Stay At Hanmin

Preventing the illegal trade does not make Jang-mi a hero at Hanmin. Instead, it creates a crisis. The company’s higher-ups need someone to blame, and a low-level assistant is an easy target. News of the blocked trade spreads rapidly through an elite online gossip forum for finance workers called the Yeouido Pirates, putting Jang-mi’s name at the center of office rumors.

Director So faces pressure, but the blame is shifted downward. To officially cancel the problematic trade and clear her name, Jang-mi needs a signature from the boss of the involved fund, Onemillion. The problem is, she needs an invitation to access the secretive Yeouido Pirates forum to find him. Her dormitory roommatesโ€”Bok-hee, Eun-joo, and Noraโ€”have already used their invites. Just in time, Albert Oh, the chairman’s film student grandson she met earlier, provides her with a crucial invitation.

Park Shin-hye does a great job showing how confident and fierce Hong Keum-bo is; she is great at her job and knows it, notes a review of her performance.

With help from her new friends, Jang-mi infiltrates the forum, locates the Onemillion boss, and secures the necessary signature. This evidence proves she acted correctly to stop a crime, not cause trouble. Meanwhile, her boss, Director Yoon, works behind the scenes to protect her. This combined effort saves Jang-mi from being fired, but it makes her powerful enemies within the company who now see her as a risk.

Jung-Woo’s Return And A Painful Shared Past

The professional chaos is matched by intense personal history. Shin Jung-woo, the new president of Hanmin, is increasingly suspicious of the new assistant who reminds him so much of Hong Keum-bo, the woman he loved and lost.

His suspicions grow when he spots a distinctive sand hourglass on Jang-mi’s deskโ€”a gift he once gave to Keum-bo. This clue leads him to seek out Keum-bo’s family restaurant, where he meets her parents. They have never met him before and, believing he is interested in their daughter Jang-mi, warmly welcome him.

Keum-bo, as Jang-mi, arrives and frantically rushes him out. She spins a cover story, telling Jung-woo that the hourglass and other items are hand-me-downs from her older “sister,” Keum-bo. The tense encounter forces both characters to relive the painful reason they parted ways years ago.

A flashback reveals their breakup was rooted in a moral clash over a past financial scandal. A man died because of the incident, leaving Keum-bo devastated. She wanted to expose the truth and do what was right, while Jung-woo chose to follow his superiors and protect the large corporation involved. His choice to prioritize business over morality ended their relationship and set them on divergent pathsโ€”her as an investigator fighting corruption, him as a corporate president.

Dormitory Dynamics And A Cliffhanger Break-In

Life in the company dormitory continues to be a source of both support and mystery. Jang-mi’s relationship with her roommates deepens after they unite against a common office enemy, Assistant Manager Cha. They play a prank on him, solidifying their bond. When payday arrives, the four women go out for a celebratory dinner, enjoying a moment of normalcy.

However, a strange detail foreshadows trouble. Nora had received a box of chocolates from her mother, but two were missing. No one in the room admitted to eating them. The mystery turns into a crisis when the women return from dinner to find their room completely ransacked. Someone has torn through their belongings while they were out.

The episode ends on a major cliffhanger. As the shocked roommates survey the damage, they notice the fabric wardrobe is moving. Someone is hiding inside. With Jang-mi cautiously leading the way, the group moves to open the wardrobe door, leaving viewers to wonder who invaded their space and what they were looking for.
